Suhmer's Saloon

Over the years, we've passed this place as we drove from Brookfield to Palmyra.  Last weekend we stopped for a meal and really liked it.  The decor is equestrian-themed, and it has a corral out back for horses.

The menu was casual and inexpensive.  I had a delicious reuben, and my companion had an equally delicious tenderloin-and-brie-soup.  The server was delightful.  We were the only customers there on a Tuesday evening.  They have daily specials--on Tuesdays it is ribs and all you can eat peeled shrimp.

There are 4 hotel rooms, and they are supposedly haunted, but we didn't see them.  Definitely recommend the restaurant for value and taste.
