Reading the other reviews must have been a bad bartender, she didn't know how to mix some drinks and when I told her how the locals all had something to say, we went to eat after our visit and bought alcohol else where....the other locals said they are kinda like that towards strangers. I'm sorry but this town needs visitor revenue to survive, maybe the bartender does like "outsiders" as we were labeled. Will stay elsewhere to get unbiased service.
Review Source:Went to the Grand Canyon this weekend and stayed at my friend's cabin in the woods of Williams. Â Stopped by this little nugget on one evening, enjoying food from the adjacent/attached Singing Pig.
Huge tables, a pay-to-play jukebox/photobooth in one, and locally brewed beer on tap? Â Talk about aca-awesome.
Everything was super cheap, with pints of beer going for around $4. Â That being said I can't even imagine what happy hour would be like. Â Add on the fact that they advertise a variety of other totally nostalgic drink specials including Incredible Hulk and $4 shots of Goldshlager and you really have a gem of a bar.
Not the liveliest of places (probably due to it being wintertime in a sleepy-town), but definitely a good time.
Fun 100 year old bar. Â My friends and I were in town for a night before going to the Grand Canyon. Â It was in January and the entire town was quiet. Â The bar was pretty empty because it was their off season but the Bartender was very friendly and we enjoyed the jukebox, billiards and drinks.
Review Source:A great dive bar to kill a post- or pre-Grand Canyon night at. It's a big place, with a pretty good mix of locals and travelers. It's a good mix of "relaxing/laid back" and "place you might end up getting in a fight at the end of the night."
It's tough to describe...but my British buddy with me wanted to experience a real American dive bar - and this one fit the bill pretty well. Recommended.
100 year old bar with a little BBQ joint bolted onto the side (which serves you at the bar). The late night crowd here is fun (mostly locals). This is a real dive with pool tables, a jukebox, and quirky local characters. Met some friendly German bikers and partied with them here and at the Canyon Club down the street - good times.
Review Source:I grew up in Williams, so this bar has a special place in my heart...and leaves a special mark on my liver :)
It's always a hub for locals and travelers alike, so you'll always see new characters and strike up interesting conversations! Â The staff is friendly and the beer is cold :) Â Check out the shuffleboard table to help liven up the night!
apparently the bar attached is the oldest in arizona. Â it opened in 1906. we showed up around 7:00 Â to play some pool and have a few beers. the bartender was nice, and so were the customers. around 8 the younger crowd started showing up. i will definitely go back. i felt very welcome.
