I know, I know, you're probably thinking "it's a Taco Bell, what's to review"? TB is the single best fast food for vegetarian eats on the go. Although vegan options are a little sparse (bean burrito, no cheese, add rice & guac). Even if it's not exactly real cheese, I avoid the cheesy bean 'n rice burrito in all it's delicious glory. I miss that sucker!
Driving North from Sacramento you actually pass 4-5 Taco bells all within a 50 mile stretch. We just so happened to stop off here in Corning this particular time. There's actually a billboard near Red Bluff as you're heading south that lists them all. I know I'm a whore for the TB but it makes me smile everytime I see it.
The cashier was struggling with our order, "we can't put dem beans in your double Decker taco. We don't has a scoop that will fit in the shell". Never heard that one before. Not sure how they go about it at other TBs. I'm sure they don't get a lot of beans substituted for the carne 'round these parts. Why not try a spork?
As we were leaving we spotted a photo that summed up this location perfectly... <a href="http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/RDTsT9YCVl0PBIU1Cka4WA?select=RsUEYavDTd2D5x9NVTG-UA#RsUEYavDTd2D5x9NVTG-UA">http://www.yelp.com/biz_…</a>
I know you're thinking that photo is Paul Vu quality but it's actually courtesy of Julie K.
Gotta give a shout out to this Taco Bell. Â Long drive down 5 back home to Sac and time to eat lunch... Taco Bell... cheap and usually, but not always good... I'm sick and don't want to take the time to stop so we eat on the road... helloo and thank you TB for not onlly making the food hot and fresh, but rolling the burritos so they could be eaten on the road. Â Five of us ate and all five of us were satisfied with our food. Â Yippee!
