Ugh man this was looking like 5 star material. Â Cocktails, Chips and Salsa were super strong. Â I was so disappointed in what was brought out to me. Â I can name 3 taco places in Chicago that are better than this, Chicago people.
Tacos where awful seriously probably the worst I've had in austin even from some nasty food trucks.
Ah well I should have noticed no one else was really eating. Â Cocktails and chips and salsa where definitely winners. Â I'd come by for that. Â The two star rating is what I give for food I won't pay for or have had 15 cocktails prior to ever purchase. Â I'd eat a doritos taco bell taco before these.
Guacamole and Queso are really good. Â I did not try the rest of the food but these items were good enough to make me comeback if I am in the area.
They brought out 2 types of queso, some guacamole, 3 types of salsa, an odd but flavorful aoli mayo, and both sweet potato chips and regular corn chips. Â All of these options and cold beer, I had no need for more food.
The sweet potato chips went well with the guacamole as they have a sweeter flavor and it kicks up the spice within, loved it. Â I wish the corn chips had been a bit thicker, as they were perfect for salsa but were lacking when dipping them in the queso or guacamole.
I have also looked over the brunch menu and it looks amazing as well. Â I will write an updated review once I go back for brunch.
TnT BRUNCH EXPERIENCE:
I went to brunch for this yesterday and it was AWESOME! Its $19.95 for an all you can eat buffet...enchiladas, waffles, BRISKET CARVING STATION, pork and beef tacos, dessert (little nookies [fried cookie dough], ice cream) and much more! It also includes two mimosa's which were great as well! I'd recommend the Pineapple juice as a flavor; it was rather tasty. Of course, as the name would indicate, they carry a lot of different tequilas. Their frozen margaritas are made with 1800 tequila.
I would be sure to come hungry and leave happy for this one. If you can't eat $20 worth of food, I 'd recommend just going during normal menu hours.
2 forks up!
I recently went here for brunch with a friend and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was $20 per person, which is a little on the pricey side for me, but it comes with 2 mimosas, so you can't complain about that. And the options...oh, the options. I couldn't even try everything I wanted to because I was too full after one plate. But I'm convinced anyone could eat here and find plenty of things that they like.
Will definitely go back for brunch. I recommend the regular mimosa, rather than the other fancy ones they offer. We tried a pineapple one and I wished I'd stuck with the first one I had.
I recommend going early (I think they open at 10), because I heard they get crazy busy later. We went at 10:30 and had no problem.
They have ample parking! Use the parking garage next door.
I went to this place with a large group for a birthday dinner and the servers accommodated us really well and got all of the orders right! Pretty impressive these days. Of course they have a ton of tequilas to try, which I may have tried a few too many but all were super tasty and our waiter was very knowledgeable about the different types and favors.
The tacos are not bad either, my only down side is the size per order. I wish they'd serve 2-3 tacos per order instead of just one but that's just me and my weirdness about ordering multiple tacos. Â I tried every taco on the menu, all were good but my faves were the tuna and chimichurri beef ones.
We all lived this place and can't wait to return. I'm interested in trying their brunch.
Generally I like my tacos served out of either the back of a roach coach or on the side of a street on one of those little carts. Extra points if the person cooking is sweating all over the food as they cook as that's the sign of a true Mexican street taco.
Needless to say, this was the exact opposite of what I just described above. This is Mexican street tacos meets trendy hipster. Once you know what you are getting yourself into, you know the prices will be a little higher but the quality of the ingridients should be on par with the price you pay. I had three tacos, the pork, beef and chicken and must say all three were really good. Their tableside guacomole was excellent as well. Also, the reason they are getting the full four stars and not three is because their tequilla selection is superb and they have my favorite beer in the world on tap.... Negro Modelo.
TnT, you are doing all right.
Worst service I have ever had in Austin. Let me give you a recap of my experience here last night.
Sit down for a friends birthday dinner. There is of 4 of us. Our waiter Ryan arrives. He takes our order and disappears. Our food and drinks are brought out  which were all good. However, he did not come by one time during our meal to give us a water refill, another round of drinks, anything. Then in the middle of the meal he sets down our check on the table! While we are eating! Not offering us another round, refills on water or dessert or anything else. We continue to eat our meal and he comes over and goes "would you mind giving me your cards? I have a baby to get home to.  Not trying to rush you." (Note this is at 845 pm, they close at 11)  We were taken back. We put our cards in and told him we had brought a cake for our friends birthday and it is in the fridge in the back. Not very happy about the request. He goes and gets the cake and sets the box down on middle of table. He doesnt attempt to take it out of the box, give us silverware, or wish our friend happy birthday. We fill out our checks and immediately he takes them off our table, while we are still finishing up dessert. Waiters are not supposed to take checks until the customer has left the restaurant. To top it all off we watch him and he goes, sits down at the bar and starts drinking a beer with what looked like his girlfriend. We finally finished with our cake 30 minutes later and ran into him and his girl getting on his motorcycle in the garage. They were talking about a party they were going to. Normally, I dont like to call waiters out by name but I feel that in this instance I have to.
The dinner atmosphere was great but unfortunately the food and drinks were very bland. We ordered the guacamole with roasted peppers and roasted garlic and there was no taste whatsoever. It was disappointing, so instead I set that aside and waited for my drink, a top shelf margarita. "Tequila" is point blank stated in the restaurants name, so drinks can't be bad. Can they? Yes. I tasted more margarita mix than tequila. It was way to sweet. Not good at all.
Other than that, I would recommend trying the corn crusted tacos. A bit bland but okay. The service was good. No real complaints.
My suggestion, go find somewhere else to eat. Its not worth it here and there are way more tastier restaurants in Austin than this place.
Hope this helps.
Upgrade = Plus 1/2 Star overall. Yay for fictional ratings!!!
Before my last happy hour here I wanted to be able to upgrade to 3 but I just can't. What I can do is break down some of the things that deserved to be acknowledged as pretty good:
So, I found myself here for happy hour this week on Wednesday a bit against my will because I'd kind of sworn never to return here due to being generally unimpressed (see original review.) But when some lovely ladies invited me to happy hour, I followed their siren song.
3 (A-OK) Stars for: Happy hour taco special
It's pretty darn good for the price. Â You can choose chicken verde, brisket or picadillo (there may be another I'm forgetting). You just walk up to the the open kitchen, tell them your meat, they serve it to you on the world's tiniest tortilla and you have a lovely little toppings bar to choose from. The topping options are what make this great - pickled onion, a cabbage slaw, salsas, cheeses, sauces, etc. It's abundant and fresh. The brisket was great. The picadillo was not. But for $1.50 per taco, I think they can have props for this.
2 1/2 - 3 stars for: Happy hour drink special
You can get a $4.00 house rita or mojito... and some other stuff I didn't pay attention to, maybe wine and beer are on the list. But it's pretty slim pickin's on the drink specials and if you want some of their more lofty selections, you'll have to shell out.
2 Stars for: General drink prices
For $9-$11 you can get some pretty well concocted albeit egregiously small for the price tequila drinks. I WOULD give the Cucumber Jalapeno margarita 5 stars for being refreshing and flavorful with just the perfect bite of heat... but it's tiny and expensive, so I give it 3.
Now - I'm harsh on this place because of its pretense. It's over priced and extremely mediocre for what it parades itself as. If it were less pretentious and more affordable (as in charged what their product was actually worth) I'd probably rate them 3 1/2 or 4 for things like that Cucumber Jalapeno Margarita and the great deal on their taco specials.
So the update it so say that I've given them another try, that they do have some good offerings and I'm not TOTALLY averse to returning. People should just be prepared to pay a high price for small drinks and not expect anything to be fancy or even above-par.
Okay, wrapping it up because my snobbery is even annoying me. Carry on, carry on.
What was good: Parking, the mushroom queso and the mojito.
What wasn't good (or ever is): The food, the service staff, the bill.
Last night I went for the 3rd and last time in just over a year. EACH time the waitstaff and bartender seem like it's their 1st night on the job... and the food (when my order eventually arrives) has yet to please.

Sunday Brunch was pretty awesome. Came for a birthday and there was about 20 of us and the buffet is a good size with lots to offer anyone who wants a little something from migas to pasta to enchiladas and waffles.
They give you 2 mimosas with your meal which is $18.95. It's from 10am to 3pm I believe. The DJ plays good music too. Park in the garage.
Our waiter was Ethan and he was awesome so ask for him. Always checking on us and bringing drinks and just overall an awesome server.
I don't what else I could say to recommend this place but give it a try. I will be back.
I've been told by my girlfriend that it should be more like 3.5 stars, but my assessment of the establishment is possibly clouded by its namesake ( I am exaggerating as I was not that drunk ). We ordered the queso flight, the good karma guac, a taco plate, some extra tacos, and DUN DUN DUN a tequila flight.
The quesos were good, with the best being the chorizo. The guac would have been better but I think the staff forgot about our order or did not put it in because it took an inordinate amount of time to get that. We had the veggie taco, the breakfast taco, the the corn crusted chicken, the tuna and the shrimp. The veggie taco was in my opinion the best of the bunch with the tuna shortly behind. The breakfast tacos were definitely worth a try.
I think the best part about the place is the surplus of tequilas they have behind the bar. You can do samplers until your liver's end. We had the basic flight for $11 and were able to try 3 new tequilas and appreciate each for it's flavors.
Definitely worth it for the tequila flight. The happy hour prices definitely make the street tacos worth it. The service could have improved a bit but otherwise still a nice place to enjoy some drinks.
Great food. That and the bright clean atmosphere and ambience propel the 4 stars. I had a delish chimichurri beef tropical salad, paired with a deeply refreshing Paloma cocktail. The hot bag of chips and the trio of sauces was a great touch too.
What fell just a hair short was service. I went with a friend in the later part of the lunch hour (1:30pm) and despite the small number of diners, it took too long for a waiter to get our orders.
Outstanding brunch. Â We arrived right around 12:30, and there was no wait to sit on the patio (which was surprising, considering how nice the weather was)! Â I'm usually skeptical of buffet-style brunches, as the food can be questionable, but everything I sampled was excellent. Â Everything was hot, fresh, and full of flavor!
I definitely stuffed myself with mimosas (included in the brunch price!!) and a few trips to the taco bar. Â Probably some of the better pulled pork tacos that I've had; plus you get to customize them with whatever toppings you so desire!
I wasn't brave enough to try any of the tequila on tap/specialized drinks, but I may next time around. Â But for casual, delicious, all-you-can-eat brunch, this place delivers!
The Last Sunday Ever
So I stopped by TNT Sunday for their brunch and set up reservations for a table of 15+ when I arrived there was no sitting available nor any information as to when we will be seated. Big no no when we set this up way in advance and get this kind of response. In fact last time I came here was again for brunch in September and in fact I set up reservations in advance for a table of 14-15 and the same response. No table and don't know when we can get one set up for you.
Now I'm not sure if the place didn't cared (which is probably the case) but 15+ ppl all buffet's + god knows how much booze was consumed + auto grat + additional grat -- I'm pretty sure the server who would of taken care of us who have been happy. Oh well.
We didn't get a table so we had to play musical chairs at the bar while the second half of our group stood. Nobody came to ask our party if they would like to be sat now that some tables started to open up to be put together. Again TNT probably didn't care or there was a black hole of communication starting at the front door to the hostess stand all the way to it's management.
The food for the buffet is very forgetable and nothing special and definately not worth the $19. Plenty of other places that you can get a better buffet for equal or less but that's another story.
Now it's not all negative here the drink specials and spirits were a big thumbs up. Service by the bartenders were great at handling the volume and demands of the many who couldn't resist those mimosa's and flights yum yum. Music was fair but I didn't come there for the music, just wanted to enjoy and nice brunch with some great friends.
In closing, I didn't give this place 1 star like I should because I felt I enjoy some part of the morning/afternoon but that's in part by the bar staff and nobody else. Overall I'm not bringing my circle of contacts or clients here on Sunday EVER again. Fool me two times....shame on you TNT; shame on you. But, I'll be back but only for the great service at the bar. TNT get your SH!T TOGETHER on Sundays!!!!
Awesome place! Went for a birthday an will definitely be back. $1.50 delicious tacos and really cheap margaritas and beers at happy hour! House margaritas are made w 100% agave tequila (no hangovers) and are absolutely delicious! It's just some lime juice and not a ton of sugary sweet and sour. Will definitely be back, great find!
Have gone back and talked to some of the minds behind the drinks and they are looking to get people out of the tequila=margarita mode, and into the more mixed drink options. This month Thursdays I believe they have homemade specials for $6.50 with awesome tequila and other ingredients.
If you are interested in tequila, or want to expand your pallet, this is definitely the place. What a unique, wonderful place and staff!!!
Adobe pie and artichoke tacos.
Cucumber, Jalepeno something or other that's not on the menu with the queso sampler.
Table side guac made to your likin' and spa skewer plate.
Whatever combination you choose ... you will love it.
Tacos and Tequila blew my hunger away! Â I went twice in one week.
Garage parking, short wait if any, wide variety of food, awesome prices!
I first went to Tacos and Tequila for their brunch, as I was familiar with Blue Mesa, it's sister restaurant. Let me say it is NOT Blue Mesa, it is it's own entity. The brunch is fantastic, and they keep it fresh and new with different choices. Â I am a picky eater, and it satisfied my "high maintenance" pallet. Â But they don't just have great brunch, they have a great regular menu that is gluten free friendly and is, in my opinion made for picky eaters and for people craving something different. Â They offer a wide variety of tequilas and even have it on tap!! Â My favorite menu item, even though it is hard to pick just one I will, is the Buffalo Chicken Skewers- they are delicious! Â
Needless to say I will be back, and return with friends to share the experience.
Tacos and Tequila appeals to the brunch crowds who enjoy the typical Tex-Mex alongside some more refined items--on a buffet line. But by refined, I still do want to note the pure volume of the grub coming out of the kitchen. On this, we know that merely charging $18 does not merit the management enough to pump quality into its salmon, guacamole and soup o' the day.
The decor is a bit more upscale than the typical casual eatery, yet it is inviting enough to bring a large group. The space is a little cramped, but the windows allow a sense of openness, thankfully. Location is key, as you will surely find something to do around these parts before or after a meal...meaning you can easily plan something this experience around something.
On the actual quality, I found the "slow-cooked" meats to be tolerable (more so because of the copious amounts via buffet line). The picadillo beef was pretty boring, the chicken verde lacked a kick, and the pulled pork tasted of mere BBQ pulled pork. The brisket could have used some smokiness.
On the brunch side, the fare was pretty ordinary.
Tex-Mex is what you should go after, as the corn mash was fairly tasty, and the adobe pies were unique to this eatery--I haven't found it many other places in Texas besides Blue Mesa in the DFW area. Enchiladas are fairly appetizing. Nothing outrageous, though, as you can see.
TNT is a fun name. I feel like Tacos and Tequila was almost certainly going to be dumbed down to these three letters. Alas, give it a spin if you enjoy tacos or tequila at all. I believe they also do a number of tequila tastings. One tequila, two tequila, three tequila, floor?
I don't remember the last time a restaurant got me so aggravated. Even Taverna's ridiculous brunch waits didn't leave me wanting to punch somebody.
The price is high. It includes mimosas, but if you don't want mimosas then you're forced to subsidize everybody else's mimosas in the price. No bueno.
The layout for the brunch buffet is so poorly arranged that you can hardly get in line for any of the items. Taco ingredients are split up between two tables, but the tortillas are all the way in the corner. The plates are so small that you're forced to go through this frustrating experience numerous times.
Eggs Benedict 'featured' fried, not poached eggs.
The polenta/grits concoction was utterly flavorless. I don't know how they screwed it up so badly.
When we started telling the waiter what drinks we wanted he kind of spazzed out and said he'd just bring waters, despite some grumpy people who waited for 45 minutes for a table (albeit quite large table) in desperate need of coffee.
I can't say anything impressed me enough to ever want to come back.
Amazingly bad brunch buffet. Â
I am told by my younger friends that the reason the brunch is so well attended is because it has parking in a garage and unlimited drinks, but since we actually go to restaurants for the food, we were truly underwhelmed.
The food was uninspiring, colorless and practically tasteless. Â Even the chips were tough and stale and in Austin, that just has to be the kiss of death.
We served ourselves, so we don't have much to say about the service, but needless to say, we will not be back.
TnT has one of the best weekend (both Saturday AND Sunday) brunches around. We don't go more often because it is kinda far from our house, and it is on the higher end of brunch buffet pricing.
You never have to worry about parking at TnT because you can use the garage. We always find it best to come right when brunch opens (at 10 a.m., which is earlier than when most brunches start, and  I appreciate that). The food is fresh and you don't have to wait behind too many people. The buffet is laid out nicely so there are hardly any bottlenecks. The selection is outstanding. Lots of breakfast items, but they also have cheese enchiladas (which are my absolute favorite and I don't like cheese enchiladas), chicken enchiladas, aqua frescas, tacos, and lovely mini desserts.
My only complaint would be the mimosas. They fill them up with lots of little crunchy ice, like the kind they have at Sonic. I am not a fan of ice in my mimosas. Most times, I like the aqua fresca better than the mimosa. I may try ordering a shot of vodka or tequila and put that in my aqua fresca... hmm....
We've been for happy hour and dinner, and the food and service is always great. They have one of the best street corns in Austin. But if you only go to TnT once, you gotta go for brunch.
I've ordered tacos a la carte on weekday evenings and not been a huge fan of those. I'm also not a frequent consumer of $10+ drinks, and their beer specials aren't anything special. BUT I'm still a fan. What gives?
SUNDAY BRUNCH. So freaking good. It's really difficult to get in with a big party (the birthday party I was with had reservations for 15 and we still waited 1.5 hours for a table that was too small). It was $18-19 per person, and that includes two (?) mimosas per person. The selection was just so fun & epic delicious. A taco bar, a waffles & fried chicken(!) station, two types of enchiladas, an omelet station where they'll make you eggs benedict by request, a salad bar (please don't get salad at a buffet!) and a dessert buffet. Plus some other stuff I'm forgetting. I think I managed to get two or three plates plus dessert and was painfully full for at least an hour or two, and then not hungry for dinner until about 8 pm.
They do have $1 mimosas for while you wait, but frankly I can't drink mimosas all day--too much sugar, not enough booze. But there's plenty other selection at the bar I'm not complaining.
Here's the thing. The food is obviously good. I know this because everyone says that the food is delicious and I tried a lot of the menu and it's all delicious. The booze is exceptional and everything really points to this being a great dining experience.
There's one problem though and that's the service. Took 15 minutes for our waiter to come to the table, after a busboy took our drink order. It was like that for most of the night. Including to get our check.
I don't think that the service will change my opinion and really affect if I return because I obviously will, it'd just be nice to get someone who gave a shit.
This review is only referring to their brunch. I haven't been for any other meal, but I'm ok with that. After a late night wedding, four of my friends and I met at TNT.
We waited for TWO HOURS to get seated... it was worth it. Rarely do I wait that long for food at a restaurant. I think I've only done it twice prior, once at Salt Lick because once you're out there  - what are you going to do? And once at Barley Swine because I would set up camp outside that place for a taste of their amazing concoctions.
But back to TNT. Wow. I was impressed. For $18/person this place is legit. Firstly, bottomless mimosas were quality and refreshing. But the food was the real stand out. They have a variety of foods set up buffet style. It's definitely the kind of place you want to walk around and look at everything they have in order to choose wisely. I do this because otherwise I gorge on something and then realize there's all this other food I hadn't noticed and then I get sad...
This place has some of the best meat I've ever eaten. Delicious, flavorful and moist brisket and pork. Their migas were also moist which I appreciate when it comes to eggs. They had a cornbread which I couldn't stop eating and some refried black beans which were amazing. The best part is if you get something from the buffet that you're not the biggest fan of (like I did with a chicken casserole) you can put it aside and venture back to discover something new.
They're always replenishing the buffet with fresh deliciousness. Yum!
On paper, this seems like a great concept (especially in a town like Austin) - they use organic, locally-sourced ingredients (where possible) and have tequila on tap! Â In practice, however, this place is all wrong and reminds me of a pretentious soul-less bar you would find in Dallas. Â (EEK).
I've been here 4 or 5 times (my friends love this place... I'm not sure why) and I've had good and very bad experiences. Â The tacos, in general, are kind of boring. Â There are MUCH better tacos all over Austin... please do not come here for the "great food". Â The drinks are okay, I've had one or two that I've liked (but nothing I'd really come back for). Â The happy hour margaritas were always completely disappointing and tasted like pure mix - ew. Â
I've had the guacamole which everyone raves about.. and I have to say, I probably make better guacamole in my own home :/ I do like that they donate some proceeds from the sale of their guac, so one extra star for that.
My experience with the service has been okay (not stellar by any means) but I have had several terrible experiences with their waitstaff (having to ask 3x for everything, not coming to our table for 30 minutes, never bringing silverware, etc). Â
I think I would like this place more if it had a more "divey/eccentric/Austin" feel instead of a confused "vapid/prenentious/cold" feel... Maybe lose the TVs and hang local artwork? Â Maybe hire waitstaff that is more casual/conversational? Â I don't know what exactly they need to do, but they need to do something.
PS: Brunch used to seem like a good deal (when they offered bottomless mimosas with your meal) but now they limit you to two mimosas and still charge almost 20 bucks for a buffet (which is small and kind of sad). Â Blah. Â Not even worth it.
Soooo I thought for happy hour all their margaritas were $4, but it's just their house one. I'm an idiot. A less drunk idiot, which is probably a good thing. I kind of wanted to try every single one.
Anyway! Their happy hour is still a wonderful deal! This is actually what their website says:
Our Happy Hour includes House Margaritas, Mojitos, Well Drinks, Martinis, and House Wine for $4.00
Draft beer is $2.75.
Monday through Friday 4:00pm - 7:00pm.
$1.50 Chef's Choice Street Tacos 4:00pm - 6:30pm
Happy Hour on Sundays from 3:00 - close.
I should have read closer. But anyway, their margarita is very good, and their three taco choices are wonderful! There are three different options for $1.50 each and you can watch the guys make them, and then you put the toppings on yourself. There's a pretty large variety- several sauces, cheese, cabbage, and a few other things. This time they had verde chicken, a brisket, and a ground beef. The brisket was probably my favorite, the meat was in large chunks with hardly any fat. It had excellent flavor and was juicy and fantastic. The ground beef one was kinda spicy and pretty good. The chicken was yummy, and also a bit spicy. I was impressed with how much meat they threw on that itty bitty taco! The three tacos were enough to fill me up.
They also give you chips with three different dips, which is awesome!
After the house margarita I tried the Asian pear margarita. It smells like cinnamon, and tastes pretty good.
This place is awesome, and their happy hour is a fantastic deal. I'd definitely come back for their happy hour tacos and be more willing to shell out $9 for a jalapeno margarita.
Brunch Brunch Brunch Brunch Brunch!!!! There really is no better meal on the weekend and no better place to go either if you want to lavish in some tasty authentic Mexican food.
I took 2 girlfriends there this weekend on a Saturday and can not imagine why the heck we had never been there before! Â 2 fresh squeezed juice (pineapple, orange, or cranberry) mimosas come with your brunch when you attend Saturday or Sunday. Â
The DJ had us nodding our heads and really set the nice mood to our Saturday morning activities. Best thing was the DJ wasn't overbearing and we could actually hear one another over the music! I dig a place that is courteous in even the smallest ways.
We decided to indulge in the Infusion Flight that came with 3 top shelf tequila shots. One that tasted just like a german chocolate cake, another that was a fruity passion shot, and the last was a jalapeno infused shot that had a nice KICK to it when you drank it. Â Boy, oh boy we're we absolutely smitten!
Go here for brunch. Don't ever settle for less.
Went here for the first time Tues for happy hour. Hipster..lol.. this place really has no atmosphere. I kept trying to figure out what the concept was...no clue. it had bland deco, cheap tables.. projector images on the wall?! I Was hoping there would be at least the Spurs on or something..nope.
I had the happy hour Sangria $4.00, but it had not fruit and it was ok. Then I tried the happy hour house Margarita $4.00. It was the best rita! Then tried all 3 $1.50 street tacos. You can't beat the best, but were ok. Bartender was great and very nice. Based on that alone I would come back.
Good place for work happy hour spot. Good tequila selection. Regular price drinks are $9.50+ .
OK, so you're going to a place which has "tequila" in its name, so the notion that they have a lot --- A LOT --- of different tequilas should not come as a surprise.
Surprise --- they have a lot of tequilas. Â Be ready for it. Â A lot of damn tequilas. Â No wonder unemployment is so low in Mexico, everybody's making tequila.
Tequila has been a funny life experience for me if your idea of a "funny" life experience involves a bit of blowing lunch. Â Me, not you, just me. Â So, yes, I tip toe up on tequila because it has been such a heaving experience at times. Â Sorry for the coarseness.
But, no, the tequila --- a million tequilas --- was smooth because they had some very interesting and exotic drinks on the menu. Â Think mango, kiwi fruit, watermelon. Â Yes, some very metrosexual mixed tequila drinks which do not result in your face in the commode, well..............................................Â..............you get the picture, I am sure.
Food is good and TNT had some damn good tacos --- shrimp, chicken, tenderloin, pulled pork and veggies. Â I, for one, think everyone should refrain from pulling anyone's pork but their own --- but that is just me.
All good but these are very civilized little well behaved and exquisitely mannered tacos. Â These are not the Guero's mountain of flavors native Tex Mex tacos which can serve the needs of stevedores or first responders or soldier home from war.
I may be doing an injustice here because they do have a "burrito" size and that may handle a stevedore, I just don't know.
These are little frat boy Vineyard Vines type tacos. Â They are tasty but they are a bit prissy. Â Again, tasty as hell.
Food good. Â Tacos good.
Important note --- the guacamole is simply outstanding. Â Best ever. Â They have a "guacamole engineer" make it right at your table like having Bananas Foster at Brennan's --- with a bit of a twist to it.
Guacamole engineer makes some damn good guac. Â I would go for the guac alone --- plus a nice tequila mixed drink with a bit of flavor.
Ambience, you are going to like the place. Â Sleek, maybe even a bit plain but all those tequilas on display make for some interesting viewing.
Outside seating is nice --- mosquitos? Â Yes, sorry. Â Bring a bit of bug spray for yourself. Â Only problem.
HAVE A DESIGNATED DRIVER because this is not decaffe tequila. Â It packs a wallop even when camouflaged with a bit of watermelon puree.
TNT, you did good boys. Â And thank you very much. Â I will be back.
