I am writing this review 5 years later but this is one my coolest road trip food finds. We were driving thru Texas and since its such a vast state with light years between gas stations we need to stop for gas. On a hunch I spotted the taquria at 11 am and wanted to try it. When Walking in I saw a sign that said "Chicken Fried Chicken" $4 or $5 (Cant remember) We ordered and waited like 30 minutes. They hadn't put the order in. They totally forgot. As a compensation I actually wind up getting the chicken fried chicken for free. ITS WAS A GIANT BEHEMOTH for $5. ONE OF THE BEST THINGS Â IVE EVER EAT HOLY SMOKES. Even for the palty fee they were charging thats the best bang for your buck MEAL ever! ... Thanks for that foodie memory.
Review Source:They refer to their style as "Fine Mexican Food - Jalisco Style" Â 6am - 10 pm. Â Two salsas served, a warm tomato gravy one served with breakfast, and a decent cold one served later in the day. Â Excellent Horchata, cokes in a can, non-sweet tea only. Â Portions were enormous; Carne Asada was quite good as was the al pastor. Â The lengua was a bit dry and chewy, but I got at least 2 lbs of it. Â Low prices and a US menu for those wanting a burger or chicken.
