Good food and great value!

On a recent trip to Reidsville my coworker and I were in the mood for Sushi.  Generally Sushi is not something I experiment with.  I have my favorite places and stick with them.  We had heard this was a good place so we decided to give it a try.

It is a little hidden in an odd looking strip mall where the storefronts are shaped like homes or town houses and from the right angle and direction can be easily hidden behind the Bank Of America ATM machine.  After driving a couple miles past it, we saw a sign advertising it but had no idea if we were headed in the right direction since the sign was going away from the restaurant and the address numbers on most buildings are non-existent at best.  So just be prepared to search it out as my GPS was useless in this town for some reason.

Once we found it, it didn't really look like the type of Japanese restaurant I wanted to check out but I have an adventurous spirit.  The deal was if they had a 100% sanitation rating we'd stay... we got in and it was 101!  It was a small diner sized restaurant and the kitchen was wide open so you could watch meals being prepared or stand at the counter for take out.  Decor was minimal but so were the prices.  We asked if they had a sushi menu and the waitress said yes and brought it out. It was only one page and was primarily variations of a California roll and the rolls that were not all veggie seemed to have imitation crab.  There was no Nigiri.  

We both ordered the Teriyaki Beef Bento Boxes.  It was a pretty full meal for 13.99.  It included sushi, tempura, salad and miso soup.  On the photo it showed a big bowl of steamed rice but they brought out rice coated in soy sauce.  I would have preferred they asked, especially because there is Soy Sauce at the table but I ate it anyway.    I left very full and with the cheapest tab ever at a Japanese restaurant.
