I have been into Teakwoods 3 or 4 times now and like it all in all. Â They now have full alcohol at the bar and they have a good beer selection.
The only negative for me personally is that it feels more like a restaurant than a bar. Â Let me clarify, there is a lot of seating but they are mostly booths/ four tops, etc. Â nothing wrong with that at all...but when I think of hitting up happy hour or a few drinks out I want to be by the bar on a high top versus feeling like I am in a dining room. Â Again, this is just a personal thing.
I have had the wings, nachos, a burger and... Hmm, something else lol. Â All have been good and I would definitely go back for more.
It's a great little local place and the staff have been extremely nice every time I have been in. Â Maybe the service in the little dining area is different? Not sure about others negative experience with staff...haven't had that myself.
I have only been there once during live entertainment but I know they have live bands on the reg. Â The cool thing is that they play on the patio so you can still have a conversation and hear the people you are with while the band is playing.
I stumbled across this place while working in the Temecula area. Pleasantly suprised!
First of all, the bartender appeared to be the only employee on the floor. I believe her name was Danielle. She handled the handful of customers at the bar, as well as the lunch crowd in the dining area. At least from my point of view, they weren't slammed, but there was a pretty good lunch crowd going. I was impressed!
As for the food. The fired brussel sprouts were unreal. So simple, yet sooooooo tasty! Talk about completely stripping the nutritional value of a vegetable....and done so well :-) I also ordered a BLT thinking that most restaurant BLTs are on the "ligher" side. Not here. There had to be 7 or 8 pieces of bacon on this thing!
I can't wait to get back down to the Temecula area to try more of their food!
I wish I could recommend this place as it's very close to my house, but sadly I cannot. Service is grumpy and sparse. Food is overpriced and of low quality. I was hoping it was just the pains of being a new restaurant and getting the kinks worked out - but save yourself a trip. This place is far below special.
Review Source:These guys are awesome! They take care of you and make sure everything is to your liking. I can't wait to go back! There was a previous review of the meatball sandwich which is spot-on. They are still getting settled in, with the restaurant having recently had its grand opening last Saturday, but overall this is a place to check out. Black market for the win!
Review Source:Brunch is great here! They have it Sat. and Sun!! I personally love the homemade oatmeal. It's very different than the instant crap I usually make for myself at home. The staff is friendly and keeps my champagne glass constantly refilled. This is a family owned neighborhood sports bar. They have super comfy booths. The food is not bad at all but it's bar food peeps, not a 5* restaurant. If you want that...go to a restaurant... and enjoy the matching bill. If you want a clean, comfortable, friendly and reasonably priced environment, give this place a shot. I'm a regular there for brunch and hope they keep it on Saturdays, too!
Review Source:I had the classic burger with fries, with the garlic cheese bread as an appetizer. The garlic cheese bread was amazing, although the marinara sauce that comes with it isn't the greatest. The burger was good and it came with a giant mound of fries. The fries are thinner than most places, with a good crunch to them. Overall this place is a good experience and I would recommend it.
Review Source:This place is good. I had the coconut shrimp... That is actually served on a bed of fries! And it was delish! (let me remind you that it is an APPETIZER!) I always drink a pyramid, and happy hour is 3-6 m-f. Â I like how when it gets busy, that there is still room to enjoy yourself with some friends and not have drunk people hanging all over you due to lack of space... plus good service. Been here during the week and on weekends and love it everytime. Everyone else must have came on a bad day because I love this place!!!
MAY I ADD FOR ALL THOSE DOG LOVERS!!!!!!!! they allow pets on the patio:)
Not bad, but nothing too exciting. I think it's meant to be more of a evening bar hangout. We went Sat for lunch and it was pretty quiet. We had brunch menu, my husband had the Italian omelet which he said was good, smaller than expected, but that's not necessarily bad. Â I had steak & eggs. Again, ok. No garnish, stale toast, just not exciting.
Might try going back for a beer some night, cause it looks like sitting outside would be fun with friends.
Not sure if Holly M. and I went to the same place...but this Teakwoods was not like the one she was talking about.
Great atmosphere - comfortable place for all types of people. Check out the wall decorations, one could be occupied for a long time just checking out the memorabilia.
Had the bacon burger and it was awesome. Â Hand-formed beef on a fresh roll with plenty of bacon! Â How could you go wrong with this? Ask for the sauce they use on the brussels sprouts, it has a little zing to it - tasty! Â Looking forward to trying out their other menu items.
There's a very comfortable outdoor seating area with couches and tables to choose from.
Add in their great sounding music system with a TouchTunes digital jukebox and we have a winner!
I stopped in for lunch and am glad I did. On the recommendation of the Bartender I ordered the Meatball sandwich. This sandwich had the three most important things I look  for going for it :
1. The meatballs were homemade and there was meat in every bite.
2. There was plenty of cheese
3. The bread was slightly crunchy outside yet soft and tasty. They toasted it which makes it perfact.
I also tasted the fried brussel sprouts. Now I'm a sprout fan so fry em up and you can't go wrong with me. What really did was the spicy creamy sauce it came with.
Next time I'm getting that sauce to dip my fries in.
The ombiance was nice, as I eat alone I enjoyed all the TV's with various sports chanels. The wall are busy with what I suppose are personnal items of the owners. There are so many decorations it's easy to forget the place is new.
I look forward to trying the Chicken Parm and Philly Cheesesteak.
I'd give it 1 star but they are just starting out and it might get better. Cold fries, and a small chicken breast (overcooked and rubbery) with mushrooms was $14! They didn't even bring a salad or vegetable. I think they were trying hard but all the hype about good food; it's such a let down. We'll try again later and hope the kinks are worked out. Bummer.
