I love this place again. Brandon always takes great care of us and I couldn't be happier!

"Awful". What else could I possibly say or write about this place? The only redeeming quality is the impressive list of available tequilas and designer margaritas. Nothing else about this place works. The food is among the worst I have had at any place trying to prepare Mexican-inspired entrees, the service is unorganized and the atmosphere feels more like an upscale honky tonk than a destination establishment.

NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY AT ALL. We went at 4 in the afternoon so there were only 10 people in the whole place. The chicken enchiladas were OK. My daughters cheese quesadilla was good. The waitress was great - that is why I would give it a high rating. The kind waitress said that the kids could play the piano and they did for about 5 seconds. At that point the manager came running over asking if they could immediately stop. So, don't take your kids there because kids can't act like kids at 4 in the afternoon.

I've been to Tequilarita's twice. The first time, they wanted a cover.

Yeah. A cover charge. In Milford. For a restaurant. I chuckled a bit as I walked back to my car, and hadn't given Tequilarita's a second thought until recently, when some family members wanted to check out their all-you-can-eat whatever on Friday.

Fortunately, they weren't charging a cover. The interior is pretty well styled, if a bit on the pretentious side for not matching the menu or clientele. The staff was friendly, though it took longer than expected for food to arrive. This seemed to be a deficiency in the kitchen, and some people noted that their food arrived a bit cool, while others received food that was still sizzling.

As the food goes, I wasn't impressed at all. The menu is surprisingly basic, and not in a very good or interesting way. Chicken fajitas were an uninspired by-the-numbers affair, and a bit on the dry side. Fish tacos were another "meh, it's not awful." Pricing is a bit on the high side, especially when you consider things like a side of guacamole is a $3 buy-up. Anywhere else with entrees in this range, you'd expect it to be included, or offered at no charge.

Basically: this tastes exactly like Mexican food, as prepared and understood by people from Milford, Michigan.

If I had to describe the place in a word though, it would be: "loud". I wonder if the owners ripped out what little sound-dampening material there was when this was a coney island, because it was much louder than it ever was as Leo's. Presumably during drinking hours, it's even louder.

I really hate dogging any local establishment, but if the liquor and piano aren't what's drawing you to the place, you might want to venture out to Wixom and try Burrito King for authentic Mexican cuisine.

Wet burrito and golden margarita were both very good.
