Fabulous food. The spaghetti squash Alfredo was  spectacular. The chef was able to work around our gluten free diet with ease.  The cedar plank salmons was the best I've tasted.  Again, the sides were simply substituted  to accommodate our special diet. The chef was able to provide a gluten free bruschetta first course rivaling any bruschetta I've experienced. Beginning at the door, the greeting, the service and food, all exceeded my expectations. Open  for only eleven weeks, good luck, continue to treat your customers as guests, provide great food and service, your success is guaranteed.
Review Source:Great meal, great value. Â Modern Italian--traditional dishes with a twist, and every ingredient prepared perfectly. Â The mezze plate was fantastic--a thoughtful mixture of textures, colors, and flavors. Â The entrees were excellent, and the dessert (we have had the carrot cake and the chocolate chip cookie) were incredible. Â Excellent service. Â Full marks.
Review Source:Enjoyed a lovely lunch at Terracotta today! Their wine list is very well priced and Shelly, the Bar Manager, most helpful with suggestions and complimentary tastes if there was a question of choice. The menu is well thought out for bistro style food and pricing is very reasonable for Santa Fe. Ambience is Santa Fe residential with French decor touches. Highly recommended!
Review Source:My wife and I stopped by on a couple of occasions during a recent visit and had a great experience. Â I had a brisket flatbread that was excellent and my wife had the Catherine's chicken salad which was also very good. Â We started with an olive tray that had a lot of great tasting olives for a very reasonable price ($6). Combined with some very good wine and nice people it is place I would highly recommend.
Review Source:My husband and I wandered in after some Internet research revealed a cheeseboard on the menu.
The cheeseboard is epic.
That and a bottle of wine are really all you need to satisfy. However, there is an entire menu to work through. I will admit, I'm not a big fan of their entrees. The butter pecan chicken is reminiscent of fast food chicken strips, which isn't bad if you like that kind of thing. The flank steak is fairly yummy, but covered with some odd pesto type thing. I thoroughly enjoyed the lump crab cakes and my husband loved the ossobuco chicken special.
Honestly, what keeps us coming back are the amazing appetizers, bruschetta, wine, great service from Anda (seriously, she rocks), and incredible prices. Dinner for two (cheeseboard, two entrees, bottle of wine, and dessert) came to only about $88 with tax and tip.
My parents, sister, her husband, and his parents came here once on our recommendation and said they had the worst service they'd ever received in Santa Fe (an older gentleman who my mom said seemed annoyed by them). The group enjoyed the food, but said their experience was tainted by this bad server. My family is fairly oblivious to bad service, so it's pretty noteworthy when they mention something. I'm not dinging any stars since I wasn't there that night.
Ate here on a Tuesday night during a trip through New Mexico. Â After walking by several other restaurants which looked to have long waits, we were surprised to find that TerraCotta was so quiet. Â Apparently the buzz hasn't made its way to this place yet (it's fairly new), but it should. Â
All the food was excellent and extremely affordable. The entrees come in two portion sizes: large (around $20) small (around $15). Â I ordered the small portion of the steak, which was perfectly cooked, and more than satisfying. We also shared a decent bottle of wine (about $30). Â The waiter was also extremely friendly and gave us some useful travel tips.
Do yourself a favor and eat here. Â The food, wine, and overall experience are just as good as (or better than) any really nice restaurant. Â The only difference is you pay about 2/3 of the price. Â Also a good break from ubiquitous New Mexican green chile (which is awesome but angers your stomach after the 3rd or 4th consecutive meal into which it is incorporated).
WOW! Â What an amazing dining experience. Â Great ambiance, fabulous food and wonderful service all for reasonable prices and ample servings. Â We shared the charcuterie plate as an appetizer, and it was more than enough for both of us. Â The menu is diverse and changes often, so you're never bored...and best of all, they offer a small and a large option, so there's always room for dessert (and Catherine's carrot cake is to die for). Â Definitely a welcoming place for Santa Fe locals - actually designed with us in mind - ain't that novel! Â A great place for tourists, too. Â You feel like you just stepped into someone's home for good conversation and great food. TerraCotta has become one of our "haunts."
Review Source:I have eaten at TerraCotta several times now and all I can say is that the place is awesome! Â The food, the wine and the service are all excellent and it's very affordable. Â This is a great new location for lunch, dinner or just meeting friends for a glass of wine (or beer) in the afternoon.
