Thumpers

We were a little concerned when we pulled up and the parking lot was empty, especially when Tortuga's Lie just down the street was packed.   Inside reminds of any town's local bar and grill hangout...very friendly and laid back - really what you'd expect at the beach!  If you are looking for a "touristy" place to eat, then this is not for you...this is more like where the locals come to unwind after work.  I personally tried the burger topped with a crab cake (I forget what it was listed as on the menu) and it was surprizingly good! The burger patty appeared to be handmade, not some pre-formed patty.  At first the crab cake appeared small, but it was actually just the right size to compliment and not overpower the flavor of the burger.  The rest of my dining group enjoyed their burgers as well so overall we had a great experience.  I would definitely go back!
