There certainly aren't many dining options in Seldovia so it was easy to pick where to go for lunch. Since the weather was nice we sat outside and had a great view of the harbor and fog rolling through town. It was beautiful.
I ordered the sweet potato veggie burger with a gluten free bun and green side salad. This was one the BEST meals I have had is a long time. I loved every bite and wanted more when I was done. It was soooo good. I am still thinking about it.

So the food and atmosphere were terrific, we had a great lunch and will definitely eat there again.

Thank you Tidepool Café for making our trip to Seldoiva so wonderful.

Scallop curry, halibut tacos, and goat cheese salad were all excellent.

Similar to another yelper, not everyone at the table received bread since it only comes w/ entrees. However, those of us who got bread thought it was delicious and fresh; not frozen on the inside at all.

By far the best dinner option in Seldovia. Creative menu items, local fare, and an artsy atmosphere.

If you're going to be in Seldovia AK for the weekend with dinner plans, your choices are pretty limited. Tidepool does a nice job though. They have a nice atmosphere with a strong tidepool theme. Lots of shadow box tables as if you were looking down on a tidepool while you eat. They have a great deck looking over the harbor too. Beer comes in pitchers. Fish tacos are a favorite and they have both regular fries and sweet potato fries. Yes, its a bit expensive but the remoteness of this town is what brings the charm. The wait staff are very friendly and helpful. When we visit Seldovia, this is always a must on our list of stops.

I understand that there are no roads that reach this town, so whatever gets here must be caught on site or come over via boat or plane... this will cause for added costs, I get that.   But the prices were way beyond what our local friend told us they used to be.  I had the fish and chips (3 tiny little fish sticks and some fries for $24!), the portions were all small and the prices big.  We were a table of 8 and only three people ordered the full "entree" so they would ONLY give us 3 pieces of bread!  the piece I split with someone else was warm on the outside, but still frozen inside.  yuck.  Several of my companions ordered the fish cakes and seemed happy with them.  The best dish looked to be the portabello mixer.  For such a fantastic 4th of July party this town puts on, this was their low point for me.
