Tidwell's Dairy Bar

Was looking for a non chain restaurant between little rock and Memphis.  This place fits the bill.   It's kind of like a really good dairy queen and run locally.  The place was full when we pulled up.  Lots of locals that love the place,  e.g. good sign.

The fries come with a wonderful queso sauce that was a huge hit with my kids.  Ice cream made a good treat.   I'll keep stopping on my way to Memphis.

DELISH! Great food and Great service! My family and I stopped in Lonoke, AR to stay while we were on our way to Virginia and just wanted a good salad since we had been eating on the road for a couple days. We got to Dairy Bar 10 min before they closed, and they were so happy to serve us. We got 2 chef salads and 2 chicken strip meals. Everything was fresh and so good. It was like a "sonic" but better! I think it was family owned and it definitely showed!  I would stop there anytime we came through!
