Excellent food. Â Portions were absolutely huge. Â I somehow managed to convince others to get a bowl of chowder before the meal. Â Big Mistake! Â Chowder was amazing, but had almost no room left for the also amazing meal. Â Beer selection was a little wanting, but I don't think they market themselves as a beer establishment.
Review Source:Everyone has been telling me to come here for breakfast, so I finally made it recently. Overall, it was an excellent experience. The food was quite tasty (though I wish they would get some better coffee) and I love when places use in season ingredients in the specials. (Yay, asparagus brie omelettes!) I later found out I was supposed to order the stuffed french toast, so I guess I'll have to get that next time.
The decor is cool (random instruments on the walls, etc.) and the service was terrific.
The only reason I can't quite give them 5 stars is because they are a tad pricey (just a tad) and I know it can get ridiculously busy. I managed to go early on a weekday morning, but I know it can be difficult to even get in at all during peak breakfast hours.
I will definitely be back when I'm ready to brave the crowds again.
WOW! Take a look at those pics I posted. That Stuffed French Toast is almost enough for me to drive 3.5 hours for no other reason. They have outdoor seating when it's nicer but we sat upstairs and inside; had a bit of a wait but it was worth it. Although reservations are recommended, when we called they said they didn't take reservations. (?) Last time I was in the area they were not open so I'm not sure if they only operate seasonally.
