It's just ok. I agree with the previous review that the atmosphere is good, but prices are really high for frozen/processed chicken tenders and generally mediocre service.

This is my "local joint" as the obnoxious Guy Fieri would say! I was here giving a speech on nutrition and fitness in my job as a teacher at the local high school the the Rotary Club of Paxton. I went with the buffalo turkey burger with jalapenos!

NOTICE HOW THAT IS NOT ON THE MENU AND I GOT IT? You can make healthy choices when eating out...which was the point of my speech. Most of the people I was speaking to were eating from the salad bar (empty carbohydrates like fat free dressing available here!), but I really focused on my fitness curriculum...but I digress!

I also ordered three sides (broccoli, cottage cheese, and fruit). Now, they also sell pie as you walk in. This place was buzzing on the lunch hour. I am glad my town has a place like this. The only other places I've tried dining are Just Hamburgers which is FANTASTIC and Country Gardens.

My Fab Four of Paxton: Central Lean (yum for local ground beef and dairy), Just Hamburgers (I don't need the bun), Country Gardens (tons of my students work here...use caution), and Tin Pan! I would love to try their chicken and/or pork next time I am dining! I eat like a caveman...meat good, fries bad.

They have fried macaroni and cheese if you'd like a heart attack too. It's just a bar...with bar food...and bar patrons.

The decor and ambiance are nice, but the type and quality of the food do not justify the prices. I also don't appreciate having to hear a cook bark out at the servers from the kitchen window.

Tin Pan is a definite must-visit place in Paxton. The staff is always friendly and greets you with a smile.

Their menu is varied - ranging from simple grilled cheese to Rib Eye steaks. You are sure to find something on the menu that you'll enjoy.

I have made it a point to visit Tin Pan every time I come to Paxton. I have had the Chicken Fingers on past visits... yum! As well as the cheeseburger... also very good.

On my latest visit, over Easter weekend, I knew that they would be very busy - with the weekend coinciding with both the Paxton Community Sale and the annual "Draggin' Main" event. We went early, as soon as they opened, to avoid the crowds and make sure we had something to eat before the fun got started.

Our server, Taylor, was super friendly and very personable. She made me feel very welcome - but it didn't hurt that my aunt is a regular and knows her well. HA

Joining me on this visit were my aunt, cousin, and mom. My aunt and I both had the Top Sirloin with a twice-baked potato. The steak was cooked to perfection and completely delicious. It was juicy and required absolutely no steak sauce to enjoy.

The twice-baked potato was pure heaven. Topped with bacon bits and chives - it was heaven in a potato skin. I just could not stop eating it.

Mom and my cousin both had the special, baby back ribs... which I tried, of course. They were DELISH and were truly fall-off-the-bone.

I just love coming to Tin Pan - the decor is cute and gives a charming character. The use of non-traditional items to decorate the space really stand out when compared to other local places.

I'll continue to visit Tin Pan every trip to Paxton, as long as they'll let me through the door.
