when i grew up in conway, toad suck bucks wasn't around. Â now that i moved to san diego, a place with thousands of restaurants, one of the coolest places to eat and hang out springs up just outside of my home town. Â figures.
my first time out to bucks was last summer during my fiance's first visit to arkansas. Â i think he could hear the banjo in the distance as we drove and drove and drove to the middle of nowhere. Â at one point he leaned over and whispered something about a scene from the movie deliverance. Â we pulled up to a place that kinda looks like a big storage shed by the river. Â when you go inside, its a pretty bitchin' little restaurant with both pool and picinic tables.
i order a cheeseburger, and the rest of the family gets steak. Â well, everyone else except for my brother, who is kind of a fatty like me. Â he gets a double cheeseburger :)
everything is AMAZING. Â burgers are great. Â ribeye is great. Â filet mignon is great. Â deep fried appetizers are great. Â loaded baked potato is great. Â cold beer on a hot, sticky summer evening is great. Â service is great. Â owner is great. Â everything is....great.
so i live in a place where you can get just about everything you could ever want to eat, but it's just not like going to toad suck bucks.
