Absolutely horrible. Wilted and nasty dinner salad. Ordered the all meat pizza. Toppings were dry and old. Service was equally bad.  Find another place to eat if you are traveling.

It was hard to even give them this star. We have been there before and service has been fine. But, it was horrible tonight. We ordered a pizza and  waited almost an hour. Nobody checked on us, nobody said sorry there was a mix up. We walked out and won't go back.

Food was okay, nothing to rave about.

Service was good, better than most.  The waitress never let our sodas run dry, so A+ for that.  Food came quick, but to be fair, it was Monday about 4:30 pm - but they did not dilly dally on the pizza.  Salads and wings were out in less than 5 minutes, pizza in about 15 minutes.

Pricing is average for a non-chain pizza place.  Personally, I would take a $15 Pizza Hut pie with cheese stuffed crust.  But what you are paying for here is the ambiance of a pizza and sports bar place.

I just ordered delivery from there and they said it would be 40 mins but they got here in about 25.  I live right up the street and drive by it all the time so I thought I'd try it.  I ordered a mushroom swiss burger for myself and fish and chips for my kid. It is SO good, I had to come write a review.  I will definitely be ordering from them again.  I've never had better fish and chips, seriously.

Got a tip from a co-worker I should give Tom's a try, he liked it! Well I go past there every night on the way home, so here we go.
Ugly parking lot, garbage and unkept landscaping, bit my tongue and went in to order a pizza to go. The doors were open for the patio and the smoke was rolling in....gagging I ordered (2 waitresses were busy with gossip to help) a beer and pizza.
Food OK, service fair, nothing special, for $30.00 I'll go elsewhere

I have ordered pizza at Tom's before with no problem except for today.  We ordered a pizza to be delivered at about 9:00pm and they said it would be about 15 minutes.  We waited and at about 9:45pm decided to call to check on our pizza.  We were told that they had made our pizza but didn't know it was supposed to be delivered.  So we asked if we could get our pizza and was told they don't deliver after 10:00pm.  So if we wanted our pizza we would have to go pick it up.  They did say they would make us a new pizza.....nice.  We were hungry so I went to get the pizza.  When I arrived the waitress walked away and shortly after a man came to help me.  His respond to my arrival was, "I am not sure what happened there".  Then he gave me the bill and thanked me for coming in.  No discount, no apology, not even a coupon.  I understand that mistakes happen but at least take half the blame by taking half off the pizza.  So then when we finally got the pizza home it didn't take long to realize it was our original pizza burnt crust and all.  So if you decide to brave going to Tom's pizza....good luck....I hope you don't go hungry.

working as a firefighter for over 26 years in Gresham, I KNOW that their are NO places to eat out there! It is just not a place to try and run a business...that being said, Tom's Pizza is very good, lots of home made items too. We just had a small fire there and it is very clean inside the kitchen too! Give them a try, they deliver too...(You may need a police escort if you park there!)

Tom's Pizza and Sports Bar on 181st is pretty decent.  It could use a once-over on the outside (I think it's the iron fence that's.. off-putting?), but it's great to be able to sit outside when the weather is nice.

I'm not into sports really, so I can't speak to its utility in that regard.  Lots of televisions, I think at each table as well.   Good menu selection, from breakfast, salads, sandwiches, pizza, and your typical bar food and snacks.  Drinks are good, food comes in adequate, if not large portions and is pretty tasty.

We've been a couple of times over the past year.  Service has always been friendly, but not always the fastest.

We just discovered this weekend that this location does deliver!  We received our delivery order in about an hour.

Not a bad place, would go back. Have watched a few NBA drafts at Tom's when the Blazers were drafting in the lottery. Haven't ordered the pizza's yet, the food I have ordered was regular greasy comfort food. Decent service.

Some of my favorite pizza in Portland.  Expect to pay at least $20 for a large pizza though.  There is a TV at every table so you can watch whatever game you want.

Tom's Pizza and Sports Bar is a very typical divey bar. The exterior is not much to look at but the interior is actually quite large. The walls are covered with large screen projection televisions. There's a smoking area off to the side of the building. My advice is to not sit too close to the door leading to the smoking area. The amount of foot traffic going out there is incredible.

On my visit to Tom's Pizza and Sports Bar they had one waitress pouring drinks, waiting  tables, and taking pizza orders on the phone. Given the volume of business and the large geographical area she had to cover, the waitress was doing quite well. She told me she wished she could pull the telephone off the wall to stop the pizza orders from coming in. Well that would help but perhaps calling for more help would have been a better solution.

Ordered the pizza and it took over 40 minutes to arrive. When we did receive our pizza the crust was way overcooked.  However, I must say that the toppings were delicious. Excellent salami and pepperoni. The sauce was quite tasty. I liked the way Tom's blended mozzarella and cheddar cheeses. However, they served me lemonade that was so sour it made me gag.

Finding my server to pay for our meal was a long walk and a major chore. While we were waiting the gal next to us decided to change her baby's diapers right there in the restaurant booth. Hell, why not? Someone could die at Tom's and it would be a long time before the staff knew about it. Patrons walked by the diaper changing and commented about what a cute butt the baby had. Where else in Portland could you have a pizza and see a baby's butt?

Glad some Yeeps liked Tom's Pizza and Sports Bar. Tom's just didn't do it for me.

This place has the greasy food that satisfies an empty tummy on a cold day. The service is what brings the rating down. I asked The BF "does this place have waitresses?", after sitting in our booth for five minutes without contact from other humans. However, the pizza is amazing! It's the kind of pizza with thick filling crust, zesty sauce, and a massive amount of toppings. This is NOT gourmet pizza, but the greasy, artery-clogging, cheesy good kind. We ordered a medium (8 large slices) with pepperoni, spicy sausage, and bacon. We had four slices left to take home; I couldn't finish my second slice due to the massive amounts of toppings that make the pizza more filling than other places. Good place to go if you are close by!

Beers are cheap, and pizza is ok...good crust, but overwhelmingly greasy.  Plus the sauce needs work.  Best part about the place is the numerous flat screen tvs (each booth has one).  Sandwiches are good, but pricey.  Problem is, the service is dreadfullyf slow and unattentive for the price.

I must admit, I did walk out of this place once.  While sitting at the bar, I noticed nachos on the menu.  I asked the server if it was served with real cheese, and he said yes.  I could see into the kitchen, and noticed that the cook had placed a cup into the microwave.  After 20 seconds, he took it out, stuck his finger in it (to test the temp), and put it back into the microwave.  I lost my appetite when that cup came on my plate.  In it was velveeta...not real cheese.  I left enough money to cover the beer and the nachos, but did not finish either.

I don't know what it was about this place, but it didn't really float my boat. It wasn't a home-run, but it wasn't a "this place totally sucks" feeling either.

The staff was okay - our hostess was kind of rude and our server was really slow. It took FOREVER for us to get our drinks and our food. She didn't come around much.

I noticed that they put lots and lots of toppings on their food - which is good. I have no complaints with their food, I thought it was really good.  The pizza we had (pepperoni, bacon, and mushrooms) was soooo good - probably because there were a lot of toppings.

I ordered a blueberry vodka and 7up - but it tasted like blueberry vodka and water. That SUCKED and I was pretty upset. I think the 7up was flat. My friend ordered one of their specialties, which was a watermelon long island iced tea. I tried it and disliked it because it was WAY too strong on watermelon. The only drink I did like was my Heinken beer.

As I said earlier, this place was alright - not great by any means but not super crappy either.

I like Tom's! Pizza good! Mozzarella sticks good! Drinks good! Nice people working! Minus 1 star for too much sports and crappy pizza sausage (who like crumbly sausage on their pizza? NO ONE!). We won a free pizza from their Monday night football raffle. Sweet!

I have frequented this place many times now and I am ashamed that I haven't written a review about it yet! The burgers aren't so good here, but the mozzarella sticks are TO. DIE. FOR! I love me some cheese and bready goodness and this combo? Unsurpassed. For real. Everything on the menu here is home made. Everything! That alone gives this place 5 stars. But then there are the cocktails and they are plenty strong. I am so glad this place is a few blocks from my house. The bartenders and wait staff are super nice as well. They don't have that can't be bothered Portland attitude so many have around these parts.  Of course there are the tv screens at every booth and about 7- 10 other 42" to 60" screens around the bar so you can watch every second of any sport event too. I am sure it will be a mad scene here for Super Bowl Sunday. Come out and try the pizza or the calazone or the mozzarella sticks you won't be sorry!
