This place is really nice when you walk in,  all wood bar and dining room.  The food is greasy and  not that good. The potato skins we're a joke!  Stale potatoes with a slab of cheese not totally melted on top.  I don't know how you can mess up potato skins but they did.  The only saving grace was their French onion soup which was really good.
Review Source:Pretty disappointed. Â What a waste of a beautiful building in a great location. Â I ate at the Florida street location twice and it was good, but I did not have very high expectations. Â It was a dingy bar/restauraunt. Â I walked into the "new" Crockmeirs and was stunned by what a nice job that they did with the decor. Â I couldn't wait to see the new menu. Â Nope. Â Same old menu, with higher prices. Â
Food:
I really like french onion soup. Â I have to say that it is pretty good and I can't find it anywhere else. Â My brother had their $8 bowl of chili. Â It was a decent bowl of chili. Â We both had steak fries as a side. Â Good fries. Â The second time that I ate there I ordered the chili cheeseburger for $10. Â I told them that they forgot the chili. Â The waitress informed me that it was under the patty. Â After further investigation, I did find a teaspoon or so of chili. The person that I was eating with ordered the nachos. Â The nachos were terrible. Â What??? Terrible nachos? Â Canned everything.
Service:
Service was fine. Â It did take a looooong time. Â Over an hour for lunch, which is not acceptable for nachos and a burger w/ fries. Â This place really needs to learn how to handle a normal lunch crowd.
Twice is enough... I'm done.
We were in the mood for dessert and drinks and we saw that they had key lime and apple pie. Â We sat at the bar and it seemed to have a nice atmosphere. Â The bartender Jack was pleasant enough. Â They have about 6 beers on tap and I had the Nola Blonde. Â It was a nice light beer. Â When we were ordering Jack told us that the apple pie I was considering was Sara Lee. Â I asked if there were any desserts made in house and he said no. Â To top things off it's pretty expensive for store bought dessert and mediocre beer.
