Sausage and Peppers over angel hair with meat sauce. Fantastic! Girlfriend got the Peters special. I was a bit skeptical about crabmeat on pizza, but is was delicious!! We caught them on an off night, only waitress working the while restaurant. But she did good and the good was worth the wait. Next time I come back I'm definitely getting a Stromboli and bruschetta! Looked amazing!!!

I've eaten here once, and an attempted second. The attempted second is what has prompted me to write this review.

Speaking specifically about the food; it's not bad. I did enjoy it. I've had better Italian, and I've had worse. Remembering where I am in the United States, this place is pretty darned good, and the prices are fair. I will probably eat here again once I get over my irritation from my attempted take-out.

I called to place a take out order on Friday night; asked the employee on the phone to total it up for me and it came to $71. I reported back to my room mates and they said that total didn't sound right, so I added it up myself and it was off by about $10 according to their online menu, so I called back to ask them to recalculate- this is where it turns horrific.

I asked the employee on the phone to please re-add my order up and her response to me was "we are busy right now, like REALLY busy, so can you just come in and we will add it up when you pick it up?". I was shocked! No, I didn't want to come in and figure it out, because this phone call is an inconvenience! I mentioned that I'd like to get it figured out before I came in, because depending on what she tells me I may or may not keep the order.

First, the menu has 14" sandwiches and because they didn't have 14" bread in house, they charged me for 2 7" sandwiches at $8.95 each, instead of the $12 listed on the menu. Next, about everything else I ordered was about $1 or $2 higher than listed online. I mentioned that the pricing didn't match up to what they have online. Her response (an annoyed sigh) followed by "those prices are not updated, ok?"

Really? Ok. I just had them cancel my order. I don't think this place is worth my time if the employees are going to have an attitude with me because I have a question about a discrepancy in pricing. Honestly, I'd have gladly paid the $70 or even $100 for the food, had the girl on the phone not been so rude with me.

Sorry Trattoria- you've lost my business.

Really good food but it's pretty pricey for where you are. It's a pretty cramped place with cheap tables and chairs. I think the only way they get away with those prices is because they're on the water (no water front seating but plenty of parking lot seating with water view.)

Very impressed.  The best pizza in Eastern NC!!  Been coming down to the Emerald Isle/Swansboro area for many years and never had eaten at Trattoria until this week.  Awesome eatery.  Will definitely return.

This place is so so good. My husband and I had the meat lovers pizza. It was fresh ingredients ,and the crust had a slight crunch to it which I love. The chef salad was great , along with the fresh bread and olive oil dip. We will be back!!!

Stopped by this restaurant while here for a soccer tournament. Food was quite good. I had the chicken fingers appettizer, then the Caesar salad. My daughter had the mac and cheese

Excellent Food across the board.  The specialty pizzas we had  (Margarita and Primavera) were great and we caught site of the calzones and looked and smelled great.  The place is small so there is a chance for a wait but definitely worth it.

Good service and great pizza.  We dined here with are two kids on vacation and had a great meal.  Place is busy and small so be prepared to wait.  Get there early!

We found this place on our way out of town and it was fantastic.

Not sure what the service is like when it's crowded, but our service was solid. The pizza, though, really is were they shine.  We had the seafood pizza and the crust was bubbly, crispy, and chewy. The topping were fresh & high quality. Overall, super flavorful - very, very similar to the ones we had in Naples.
Honestly, if it were closer I would be a regular. Well done Trattoria!

Carbonara mediocre to good, the view is excellent. Come here for the view.

Ask for hot bread with your order. It sure as hell wasn't offered.

My salad came out after the entree. I'm not sure if that's the rule or the exception. If you want cheap Italian food, hit this place is it.

The waitress did such a great job of ignoring me that I started wondering if I was there at all. As much as I wanted to like this place, I just can't give it more than three stars. For the price, the portions are absolutely massive. So if I was in college, I'd hit this place up once a week to cover 3 meals. Good for the local military guys, I suppose.

Hope the place made out okay with Hurricane Irene.

If you're near this place, skip it and pay twice the price for EXCEPTIONAL cuisine at Riverside Steak & Seafood.

I was in town on business. I hit Trattoria on the first night and every subsequent night I was there, I went to Riverside. If you're on an expense account and in this area, I can find no reason NOT to eat at Riversdie every single night.

On a budget? Hit up Trattoria, you won't regret it. The price to portions ratio is astronomical.

Yummy Italian food. Small place, though so it can get very crowded.

Had the ravioli and calamari appetizer... was great. Small place, can get very crowded, nice atmosphere. JEWELe M. is right about the rolls and olive oil. Parking is limited; you may have to park across the street and walk, or better yet take the path UNDER the bridge so you don't have to cross the busy highway.

One of the best ITalian restaurants I have been to in a long time!
Ask for extra bread because man those rolls with the olive oil concoction are yummy!
I had the meat lasagna and loved the beef and sausage mix.
I also enjoyed sitting near the window, near the water.
    Great location!
    Great food!
    Great service!!!
