3? 4? 3.5 Stars? Â I don't even know, I can't decide!!
The service was just OK. Â Our waitress was there...that's about it. Â Not friendly, not putting forth any more than she had to, just...present. Â Eh, I've had better in the service department. Â However, the food was also just "ok" as well. Â The patio was really nice to sit on on a nice summer evening in June. Â It was large and spacious and very popular with the locals!
I got the pasta with vodka sauce, my daughter got the kid's mac n cheese, and everyone else got pizza. Â The pizza was ok. Â That's about the only good thing about the meal. Â
The kid's mac n cheese was Kraft. Â Good, but not worth the price considering it's $1 for a box. Â If you're paying that much for mac n cheese at a supposed Italian restaurant, I don't expect it to be out of a box...
My pasta came with soup--I tried the pasta e fagioli soup, and it was NOT good. Â It tasted like bean soup. Â WAY too heave on the beans, and the broth wasn't that good, either. Â So the base is bad, the ingredients are bad. Â I only took about three bites. Â Luckily, it was free, otherwise I would have been very disappointed!
The actual pasta was just ok, too. Â The vodka sauce wasn't the best, but it was definitely edible. Â I have my favorite vodka sauce, and this place didn't come close, unfortunately.
The pizza was good, though. Â And I didn't pay, otherwise my review might have been lower! Â I would come back to try some different things, but not on my own dime ;)
