I really wanted to like Tryst, but just couldn't. Â The location is great, but that was about it. Â They were hosting a wedding reception along with trying to run a restaurant and appeared to be failing at both. Â We were ushered outside (no other choice) to listen to two bad bands compete for attention, and were treated to a tiny menu on a tattered piece of copy paper. Â I got the chicken Caesar wrap which was about 90% lettuce. Â It wasn't horrible tasting, but wasn't exactly good either. Â My wife got a wedge salad minus bacon which was the only vegetarian option on the menu. Â It was a sorry looking dish with hints of brown on the edges of the otherwise white center of a head of lettuce. Â The service was slow, but not the worst I've had. Â Unless you are only interested in drinks with a view, look elsewhere .

When they 1st opened, the food was a complete joke and since the new chef arrived it's been decent and even great at times, however it's inconsistent. For example: My 1st chicken Caesar wrap was loaded with chicken and was superb - the last two times I've ordered it, I paid like $8 for a tortilla, some wilted lettuce and I'm estimating about 1/3rd of a breast of chicken mixed in.
I feel sorry for the people that call this their workplace and truly hope someone can get through to the people that run it and get it turned around.. I'm not holding my breath though...
Went there with a group of six by boat. Service was TERRIBLE-waitress was nice but she didn't know what she was doing. Food was mediocre-I ordered the pickerel with onion straws thinking I would be getting the thin, lightly battered onions on top of my fish. Well, the "onion straws" were actually stale onion rings that were somehow bone-dry yet super hot (like they had just come out of the microwave or had been under a heat lamp too long). The whole ordeal took nearly three hours.
When I asked to speak to the manager, the hostess goes into the kitchen, comes out and tells me "he's too busy to come talk to you". After asking again, he finally came out. I politiely complained that about the service and the food, and what does he tell me? "Well, if you don't like it, you can always go somewhere else. I don't have time for this sh*t right now." Seriously?! Turns out, the jerk I was talking to was the OWNER.
The only good thing about Tryst was the owner's advice to go elsewhere.
Got in with reservations for 8pm for our Grad party. Took about a half hour to get drinks and the waitresses were taking their sweet time with bringing out the drinks 2 by 2. We have 12 hungry people here and  when asked about getting food they told us there is a wait on that and they have no clue when we'd get our order. Then when asked to see the manager they said, " I can TRY...."
Oh and you had to go to the bar to get your drink because they couldn't serve.
Like the others said,it's very true. If I could give less than 1 I would.

This is the old Tin Fish. My family always goes here a few times every summer, the patio is nice, food was always good,and the wait staff was friendly. Â I must say, that has all changed. The wait staff is very unprofessional, order an appetizer, it was brought out with no serving plates or silverware, we had to ask a few times to get these items. The food was nothing special, we had to ask many times for refills on our drinks. My husband ordered pasta , with a side order of meatballs, which finally came out after reminding the waitress at least two times. We sent them back because he had finished his meal. Just a terrible experience! Needless to say, we will not be back! It is sad that a decent restaurant, with a nice patio and view of the water, is now not worth the drive or money!
