I am proud to be the first to review my favorite hometown pizza place! Â It's kind of funny that in a town with one stoplight and a population of 900 that there would be more than one pizza place, but there are 2 in Waynesfield Ohio. Tussing's is my favorite, but not for "lack of options"! Â Tussing's Pizza brings nostalgic warm feelings for me. Whenever there was a pizza party, there was Tussing's Pizza. When we would order a pizza, it was from Tussing's. I grew up eating Tussing's Pizza and subs back when Neil and Frances Tussing owned the place (called the Snack Bar I believe back then) more years ago than I care to admit. Their daughter Deb took over the place years ago and is there to this day. I actually worked there for a little bit back in the day as a teenager with my friend Dan Tussing. Many fond memories there. My favorites when I was a kid was pepperoni and mushroom pizza and their ham and cheese subs. Not to mention the little brown bags of Swedish fish (red gummy fish) that they would sell 25 cents for 25 in a bag. Things have changed now that I am older and have moved 3000 miles away. I haven't had a pepperoni and mushroom pizza in many years, or a ham and cheese sub for that matter but as I sit here typing I can tell you that they would be on the top of my list of things I miss. I can get the Swedish fish here in California and they always remind me of Tussing's. So if you're ever in the area you must stop by Tussing's for some friendly hometown service and a bite to eat. And say hi to Deb for me!
