This is a cool place to catch a cocktail in the mall. It has nice seating that seems to keep the crowd noise down. A nice joint to have a conversation. Cocktails were tasty and their late night happy hour after 9 had some decent deals. A major complaint I have is that they sat us at 9:15 and did last call at 9:30. It was a Tuesday night and it is in a mall, but they were about a quarter full and still had people having drinks. I felt like the staff just wanted to get out of there. This would not really have been much of an issue except that we only came in for the late happy hour.
Review Source:My first visit was yesterday and my friend and I came during lunch time. Our waitress was quick and helpful and our food came quick. I ordered the margharita pizza and it tasted really good. The tomatoes tasted fresh and were cooked to perfection. The pizza as a whole tasted fresh. We also ordered a desert "The Sticky Cookie." It's definitely made for the sweet tooth individuals but it was good. My friend ate most of it. Overall, it was an enjoyable visit.
Review Source:I had the Moroccan steak for lunch. Great idea, meat, fondue, and toasted bread points. Meat good, the fondue was very tasty. The only thing I would change? The balsamic vinegar was too strong. I could not finish it, the vinegar choked me. Â Otherwise, I would have given a better score. Less is more.
Review Source:Conveniently located in the mall, has great dark lighting, staff was friendly. Traveling for a living, I have to eat a lot and like to stay away from the chain restaurants and Twigs turned out to be a great place. Â I don't drink so I can't give an opinion on there large bar area but the Pepper [Alaskan] Salmon was tastefully satisfying. I sat in the back that has a nice view of the area around Main Ave while it was snowing, which was relaxing after a long day. Definitely worth a stop in, maybe before or after a movie or shopping trip.
Review Source:Great service and the salmon (daily special) was delicious. I asked them to reduce the oil used in cooking my meal, and they happily obliged.
I was there on halloween and  the employees were in random costumes from home. TACKY - especially since I was there for a formal business lunch.
My friend brought me here since she isn't a beer drinker like I am, and I like a good martini so I was game. Â They certainly have quite the selection of martinis but as others have said they were almost all of the very sweet variety. Â I was able to find one that wasn't jacked up on sugar and it was fine.
The food was ok, nothing to write home about. I had their steak special which was cheap but it was overcooked.
Service was great when we first arrived, but then became painfully slow as the night wore on. Â Probably wouldn't come back.
The Crab Mac & Cheese was fabulous. Make sure at least one person in your party gets this! This restaurant is located in a conveniently located shopping mall, close to everything. Â Interior is warm, friendly,, contemporary, inviting. Â Great for groups, couples and meeting for drinks after work.
Review Source:The food is good but nothing to rave about. If i was rating just the food i would give it four stars. The bar on the other hand is not what it claims to be. Service is hit and miss. Feels like "the Olive Garden of martini bistros". If you enjoy a solid cocktail this is not the place for you.
Review Source:This Twigs is a lot smaller than it's sisters in Spokane, my friends and I stopped by here for dessert after my  birthday dinner at PF Changs. I had their drunken donuts (powdered little donuts holes which come with amaretto cream, chocolate, and caramel sauce). They are called 'drunken donuts' because there is a verrrrryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy tiny amount of rum in the three sauces. It's my favorite and sooooo yummy! I love it! Service felt rushed, the reason why there is only 3 stars.
Review Source:I'm not sure if I'm reviewing the correct location of this restaurant but I really liked it, and I think it's worth sharing that I had a good experience here. Â I was in from out of town, the bar tender was nice to me, and the food was good. Â After a long day working when you're out of town...it's nice to have someplace to grab a good meal. Â My only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that it's a little spendy. Â I'm okay with that, if it's a "good value" for what you spend...but it was a little bit on the high side for what I was getting. Â Overall good food, great service, and a nice atmosphere though.
Review Source:It's ok. The food choices r good. They taste good. That's about it. The servers were like the walking dead with little emotion or even smiles...umm hello your only job is to make me feel ok eating at your business so SMILE geez. Our key lime martini was tasty but also tastes like a virgin drink...a recommendation I have is between 3 and 6 it's happy hour at clinker daggers in the old flour mill...great atmosphere great 4$ drinks and appetizers! I recommend the clams p
Review Source:I've eaten here twice. Â Nice place. Â Very modern with a great big bar area. Â Comfortable dining room and bar stools. Â Good service with a friendly staff.
The menu is a tad vanilla but the food ordered was outstanding. Â Just wished they'd reach a little more.
Two glasses of wine were poured nice and deep.
For appetizers we had the Ahi, Chicken Satays, and Moroccan Beef. Â All very good if not a little overpriced.
For dinner we enjoyed the Teriyaki Stir frys and they were not only good but the price was very reasonable for what you received.
Go, have fun, enjoy.
My favorite restaurant in the downtown area. Always cracked me up how Olive Garden would have a "3 hour wait" on a Friday and Saturday and Twigs would have open tables....
I would often walk down for happy hour (nothing to write home about, maybe $2 off their martinis/apps) from my job on Main and stagger back a few blocks after spending a good time with my friends at the bar. Lots of fun, and you can always walk off your buzz downtown in Riverside Park or in the mall.
Amazing Blood Orange Martinis. I had a BBQ shrimp toast that was an amazing appetizer. Garlicky, large grilled shrimp with a tangy bbq sauce. Sandwiches are around $15 which is steep for hardly anything on the side, but they are very good. Kahlua Pork, Curried Ahi Tuna, and the Greek Salmon sandwich have always been good.
I have been to the one on the South Hill, too, but it is limited in its people-watching, and since it is a martini bar, it can be kind of intoxicating for a drive-to place.
So, in general, I avoid Riverpark Square like the plague as I am not fond of the plastic South Hill Republican yuppie scum who frequent this monumental rip off of Spokane taxpayers. However, the other day I had an opportunity to have lunch there w a good friend and I must say Twigs is tres COOL. Drinks are fantastic ... i had some pear based concoction which balanced a certain volatility with clean fresh pearNESS. My lunching companion had a delicious huckleberry tini, frosted with sugar and huckleberryish, it was fantabulous. It would be hard for me to visit this establishment in the future and NOT imbue my imbibing impulses with the Huckleberry Tini. Yum, man, yum.
For lunch I had the spicy teriyaki on rice and with the chicken. It was quite amazing and fresh. The hacked up broccolli stalks were the only disappointment as I have spent a great deal of energy and time in my life trying to avoid the ingestion of pure fibrous matter, it is why, for example, when chainsawing and bucking firewood I do not chew and swallow the bark. Nevertheless, the rest of the dish was incredible. I WOULD BUY THE TERIYAKI SAUCE IF THEY SOLD IT.
So, if you can swallow your proletariat pride to be in the Kingdom of Shallow with the rich A-holes of Spokane, Twigs Bistro  & Bar is a must.
Our server, also the day bartender, was efficient, loving us yet non-intrusively, and attitudinally balanced. I hate fake and I hate arrogance. He was neither.
Go there now!
Bar service was quick and attentive. The drink selection is extensive and what I would expect from a place that touts itself as a martini bar. Nice ambiance, pleasant crowd, cute waitstaff.
The Blood Orange: Finlandia Tangerine Vodka, blood orange puree, OJ, muddled citrus mix and garnished with an orange twist. Loved it.
Ultimate Lemon Drop: Skyy Infused Citrus Vodka shaken with our house made fresh muddled citrus mix served with a sugared rim. Pretty standard, nothing to write home about.
If offered the choice between here and Bistango, I would definitely pick Twigs. Every time.
I enjoyed this place far more than I thought I would. I am not one for eating in a restaurant in a mall. It just doesn't seem...right. Anyway, the food was excellent, as were the martinis. I had the bistro chicken and it was excellent. We had a great server and the atmosphere, despite being inside a mall, was better than I expected.
Review Source:Our last day in Spokane we hit the mall and decided to grab something quick at this place. Â Seemed like the best alternative to 'mall' food.
Well WOW WOW WOW. Â Not only was the chicken quesadilla we had delicious but the cocktails were a cut above.
They have a terrific selection of martini style drinks. Â The first was so fantastic, I think it was called the Black and Blue, that I had to try another, this time the Ginger Orange or Orange Spice or something. Â My companion had one whose name escapes me, but it was equally fabulous. Â This will be my first stop for a cocktail if I ever find myself there again.
Fresh ingredients all the way around, and shaken like they mean it.
TEN STARS!
This place is fantabulous. Great service and superb food. I've eaten here a few times visiting Spokane for work.
Cream of carrot soup is to die for. Its more of a dessert but wow talk about the taste of October all in a little bowl. The Mediterranean steak medallions with Gorgonzola fondue is also another fabulous choice. The Gorgonzola is very rich so you have to be a fan of Gorgonzola to truly love this dish. I would also recommend the salmon or the portabello mushroom burger. You won't be disappointed!
It doesn't matter which Twigs you go to, they have their act together at all 4 locations with an inviting atmosphere. The 2 I frequent are the Wandermere (northside), which has an awsome view of a man-made lake and fountain. Its a great place in the summertime to have drinks on the patio with friends. Â The other oneI frequent is the downtown location, which is situated on the 3rd floor of River Park Square. If you're lucky enough you can get a table overlooking the atrium of the mall. This place is "swanky" or a class place, where you can have a conversation over food and drinks, with out the loud music or annoying servers.
Food wise: my favorites is the gargonzola fries and calamari. Â The fries are deep fried to a crunchy perfection and you'll have to get the gargonzola sauce (a side) that comes with it, but you have to be a fan of gargonzola, its kind of powerful, so you have to be a fan. Â The calamari is probably the best calamari I've eaten anywhere. They are cut up into rings and lightly breaded and served with a garlic aoli sauce on a bed of romaine lettue(?)
Drink wise: You can't go wrong with any of their drinks here. Â The bartenders make the drinks pretty strong, especially the martinis. Their specialties are the martinis. Â If you're really adventurous, you'll have to ask for (ITS NOT ON THE DRINK MENU) the Captain's Trip martini.
Service: they can be a little more attentive, especially if you have a group of 8 or more. But usually, you'll have someone pleasant waiting on you
Overall, this place is an awsome place to take out of towners for dinner and drinks or a great place to hang out with your friends after you've shopped in the mall or if you're just waiting to kill some time.
3 stars for sitting at the bar at noshing on happy hour snacks on an afternoon.
1 star for getting drunk in a mall.
-2 stars for the most inept bartender I've encountered in awhile. Â I order a champagne (It was Sunday, don't judge.) Â I notice that my glass has lipstick all over it and after I flagged down the bartender (who seemed to be very busy doing a lot of nothing) to point it out.. Â he proceeds to dump my entire flute into a new clean one. Â Great -- clean glass, but the thing fizzed over and I lost a good 1/3 of my drink. Â When I pointed this out to the bartender, he blinked and walked away.
I'll probably return, but if I see the same guy behind the bar, I'll turn around and find a different bar.
Went to the Twigs at River Park Square this evening. Â Food was great. Â Service was awesome. Â Overall...I recommend. Â If you are a drinker, try the Huckleberry Lemon-drop Martini....YUM! Â Also order the Gorgonzola French Fries for an appetizer. Â The Gorgonzola cheese sauce is sinful but Oh, so good! Â Enjoy!
Review Source:I'll give them an extra star just for the heck of it! Â I'm traveling and like to sit at the bar and observe the whole bar scene while having a good drink and maybe a bite or two. Â Let me fill the bartender in on something.......... when someone sits at the bar, ALONE, you should probably engage them somehow. Â "Are you visiting from somewhere?" " How was your day?" Â "Does your dog have fleas?" Â I mean, COME ON, do you really think I sat there to watch you wash glasses? Â If you have a bar............ HIRE SOMEONE WITH A PERSONALITY.
Review Source:My friends and I came here to escape the heat during Hoopfest and I wanted a fresh salad to compensate for the greasy burgers and hot dogs I had been eating all weekend. Â That was a pointless quest, seeing as I ordered an Italian pasta salad (full of salami...or some other salted meat). Â Either way, the salad was delicious. Â The service was friendly and they even had television screens hanging up on the walls so that we could watch the world cup games. Â I'd definitely go back if I ever had a reason to visit Spokane again. Â
Although, they only have one bathroom - shared by both men and women - yuck! Â Not that that would deter me from going back...
Like the other Yelper said, "Classy food...in a mall...in Spokane?!" Â
This place is delicious. They have a variety of different martinis and their fries are fantastic. However, their Seared Ahi sandwich with curry sauce is delicious! By far my favorite thing on the menu. Â The service is ok but be prepared to wait for a table especially on a Friday or Saturday night. Â Everyone goes their before hitting up the movies. Â Also, if you want to sit in the bar during a busy time...make sure to be cutthroat about it because the hostesses do not make a list and it is open seating. Â People will come in and steal the chair/table you have been waiting for forever.
This is one of the best choices if you find yourself at the edge of civilization and need a bite to eat (that be find yourself in Spokane). Â Good food, good atmosphere, nice clean place. Â
Only one problem that keeps it from being a great place - and keeps the cooks from being considered chefs. Â They fall flat on the "burger" litmus test. Â Trying out a new place, order a burger, if they pay attention to that, you know the rest of the menu is good. Â Twigs at least does not serve up a heated frozen patty, but they need to invest in a meet grinder and bite the bullet on tossing some good meat in there and serve up a good burger. Â
I'm not burger crazy, but the best restaurants have always had a good burger (serving American type food). Â I have dinned around the world, at this has always been true. Â
Still, you'll have a good meal at Twigs and enjoy sometimes one too many martinis. Â Oh, and the staff is superb.
Was in Spokane today for a meeting checked out Yelp and thought I would try Twigs. Â Didn't realize it was in the mall, that put me off to start. Â Had a Cesar Salad with pecans and salmon, a disappointment, salmon had a sweet sauce on it and all of the pecans and cheese were at the bottom of the salad. Â I would agree with James B. fine place for a drink before or after a movie, but that's it.
Review Source:I came to this restaurant because I was also going to a movie and it is right near the theater. I also had 15% off, the food is alright and they have a decent beer selection. The Martinis looked really good but I didn't partake. The appetizer I had was really good, Naan bread and four different spreads, but the sandwich was only so-so. It  was a turkey club on sourdough but the bread was dry on top and getting soggy on bottom. Looks like a fun spot for Happy hour but don't get the Sandwich.
Review Source:This is my favorite place to eat. Â They have three locations, northside, downtown and south hill. Â We usually always eat at the downtown location and sometimes the south hill. Â The atmosphere is very nice and the service is spectacular.
We've never had a bad dish here. Â Everything is good. Â We love the Twigs Mezza, which is a bread and spread platter. Â We also enjoy the chicken quesadillas to start. Â
I used to order something different each time I went and was always happy. Â The sandwiches are great as are the burgers, I had a great salmon dish once that was on special and the salads are incredible. Â In fact, I now have become addicted (as have all of my friends) to their house salad, the Insalata Mista. Â It is filled with mixed greens, gorgonzola cheese, dried cranberries and candied walnuts. Â I always add salmon to it and my friends also like to add chicken or prawns. Â I will eat this one night for dinner and be craving it again by lunch time. Â We joke that they must put something in it that makes us crave it so badly!
The martini menu is equally impressive. Â The happy hour gives $1.00 off on all martinis, which is nice.
We eat here at least once a week, sometimes more. Â And we always walk away smiling.
