Two of us stopped by for a quick lunch while we were passing through on I-80. The food was OK and the location was convenient. However, we had a terrible experience in service. Our order of two sandwiches took 30 minutes to arrive. When we asked the status of the order, the waitress rudely said "I am not responsible for what's going on in the kitchen." We also saw another group leaving after waiting to get the menu for 5 minutes.
Review Source:My wife and I were heading west on I-80 late evening last week and spotted this diner's humble notice by Exit 185. We were hungry and in need of a break. What a great surprise in the middle of nowhere at a sleepy exit. We had a great simple meal. My wife's generous rib eye steak was perfectly cooked per her specific request and I loved my baked haddock. Three other choices were offered in addition to the main course -- for a really reasonable price. I give five stars, not because it is equivalent to a five-star Manhattan restaurant -- but simply because this is as good as it can get for a very decent meal along a rather desolate section of Interstate highway -- served by nice people who really do care. Yes -- that's as good as it can get!!
