I'm giving 3-stars...and that's more than generous.
Service - absolutely the worst I've had in years. At first, I thought they were following the Dick's Last Resort model...but then I realized that most of the other staff had apparently received training to remove the West Omaha attitude. Â Oh, the irony!! Â I'm not sure if the server, Ashley, was offended that we were not interested and checking her out, or whether she just has the worst personality in the restaurant. We were actually betting that she graduated from Millard West based on her attitude...supposedly she's from a small town in Texas. I about fell over when I heard she was from Texas. Â Apparently she's been in West Omaha long enough to be corrupted. Â Two of us were from Texas and were in absolute shock...maybe she left Texas because of her childish, abrasive attitude...she's a better fit in West Omaha where that's normal. She would come to the table, would not smile and would usually ask a question and walk off without a response almost before we had time to respond. Maybe if she was more observant, she would have noticed that we didn't have silverware...had to go get it myself. Â I thought we were being punked or that she was having a bad day but didn't see any video cameras, and the guys had been there once before and received the same service from her. Â Most of the other staff seemed pretty friendly for West Omaha, or I would be generous to even give 1 or 2 stars for the service. Â This was the first time in years that I actually left only a 15% tip...maybe I should have left less to get the point across, but I felt badly even leaving 15%. Â If she were polite, she would have gotten at least 25%. Â Get over yourself already. haha
Food - 3 stars...it's decent but could be better. Â Didn't these start in Texas? Â Where is the authentic Tex Mex? Â I had the blackened fish tacos...they were good but weren't really blackened. Â The salsa that came with it was different...not the best I've had but not the worst. Â I am a tough critic on fish tacos having lived at the beach in Los Angeles for the last few years, but these could use a bit more flavor. Â
It is a bit loud in the restaurant...can be difficult to carry on a conversation.
The atmosphere is cute....knock-off hooters. Service is pretty good the girls are really nice. Like the fried pickles but the main courses leave much to be desired. I shared the steak sliders with my mom. The bread is nice and buttered and the steak is very tender. I am disappointed because there is ZERO flavor. The meat has a boiled, un-seasoned, non-flavor, the Au Ju is oily, and the horseradish sauce tastes like sour cream with a small amount of horseradish. My husband had the Philly steak. The meat looks dry and he said it was alright but nothing exciting. My daughter had the burger from the kids menu. It was the tastiest thing we ordered. I am very underwhelmed by the experience. Alright place to go with friends for a drink but not the kind of place that will leave a lasting impression on travelers.
Review Source:Yes I'm a girl and I went there with guy friends and another time with my boyfriend. The wings are good! And the girls are decent looking too.
It's a sep up from Hooster's in that they have their own house brews-- and the uniforms aren't from the 80's and acutally make a girls legs look nice. Â That's the type of restaurant it is, if you think it's "degrading" don't go. Â I've had a good experience both times, and love the booths that have a personal flat screen to watch football games, and the food is just fine.
