I thought this place was charming and very friendly! It isn't the busiest or biggest place but it is nice to go and relax. They spent a lot of time on the ambiance of the room and you can feel it. Try it once and see if you like it you may even be back again like my boyfriend and I were.
Review Source:Ultra Lounge inestled in Cocoa Village, serves espresso, lattes, cappuccinos (or so they say, I haven't seen them served) as well as draft beers, bottle beers and wines.
Ultra is a small intimate place where everyone knows your name, sort of like a gay Cheers. Â The in-house DJ leaves a lot to be desired though. Â The few times I've been there it's very clear that he doesn't know his audience, it's as if he's at home playing the music he wants to listen to, totally ignoring requests from the patrons.
My first trip in I was met by Willie the bartender who's extremely friendly, once he found out I was the "new guy" in town he started introducing me around. Â Every time I pop in he makes me feel like part of the family. Â During my first trip I noticed gaggles of gays from trendies to hood rats to punks and more twinks than I care to see. Where are all the jocks and bears? Â Subsequent visits have proven you just never know what the crowd will be!
I'll continue to stop by the nights Willie's working to support his efforts to build patronage.
