I'm not a wino, but this place has a great atmosphere and a great staff. Bret was particularly helpful with a novice like me - love his crazy hair too! I'm a fan.

The most amazing interior, such a nice little place to meet with friends or go see art. The employees are all super friendly. I'm not really a wine person but I like people and a good time!

Good atmosphere, well stocked for a small store. Attendant was unavailbe to pour me a taste, so I bought their Qupe Masanne/Lusanne blend for $20 instead of the $9/glass charge. I wise I had been offered the taste instead. A very non descript wine- not worth more than $9/ bottle. I hope their other wines are a better value, and are better wines.

Cozy, charming and a relaxed atmosphere make this wine bar a fave of mine. No pretentiousness just a friendly staff with good recommendations and offerings either by the glass, bottle or flight.

Love the cheese plate! It's tough not order several.

Can't wait to get back and enjoy another glass of chardonnay.

Really nice wine bar. $10 for 3 tasters. The pours were generous too.

If you go, try the port, it's out of this world. Plus, a bottle is only $30, so you need not feel guilty for buying it.

As somewhat of a wine snob I can say this place had top notch wines. There's also a nice cozy feeling to the place, and our server was quite sweet.

This is a swanky wine place.  The ambience is rustic elegance.  In the past I have drank by the glass, a flight series that was featured for a wine tasting, during festivals, and as you can imagine much more.  It's a great place to hang out with your friends and fury pals, too.  Everyone is so friendly!

Kali suggested trying a sparkling wine by "J".  Loved it so much and the price point, I carted away a case.  She gave me a great deal.

We went here everyday for a week. Often twice a day. A friend even turned this into her office.

I don't know what we would have done if Uncorked wasn't there, well, probably we'd spend more time at Auld Dubliner. Thank god for variety. Speaking of, they've got a great selection of wines by the glass at decent prices. Kali, the owner was so kind--her staff were super nice and helpful, the music, fantastic. It's the type of place you can easily waste away your day.

Great little spot to have a few glasses of wine and chill out! Owner and George were wonderful hosts and it didn't hurt that this place was literally 10 steps from our condo. :) Will absolutely return. (Marcona Almonds are a WONDERFUL snack).

Despite their cheese plate advertisement outside, they were out of all three and gave a few crumbles from whatever was left on the wrappers. They also CHARGED for this.

Wrong glasses (big glass= red, small glass=white- it's pretty simple, UNCORKED.) Stale almonds, shoddy service, bad wine...need I say more?

I give one star because it's the only place for wine tasting in the immediate area. Also, we had dinner at Christy Hill afterward- now THAT is service. And stellar food and wine.

To me, the idea of going to get wine at a wine bar in Squaw Village is not exactly appealing.  It must be pretentious, over-priced, and full of too-serious people acting too-serious, right?  Whew, luckily not.  The owner, Cali, put her own imprint on her bar, which is to say, it is a FUN place with a chill atmosphere and a happy, knowledgeable staff.  Cali knows wine and has an incredible selection that would be satisfactory in any city.  Congrats to her, and her staff, on creating a surprisingly fun atmosphere in a location that easily could've produced a just-what-you'd-expect lame experience.

A great wine-bar, and a must visit if you are a wine enthusiast in the area.  Had a great ski session, wanted to have an apre ski glass of wine and I've got to say Uncorked was excellent. I had the Wine flight sampler (3 wines), the Flor Malbec and Truchard on the current menu were delicioso!! Also had the cheese sampler on the side, great compliment to the wine as usual and it was tasty! I didn't get the name of the woman pouring, but she did a great job! So happy that I wasn't criticized for being a bay area gaper when I told her where I was from! just kidding!

The line: Try it, well priced for the Village, great atmosphere, wine selection was great, and courteous service. I will return again for sure!!

Wine tasting sampler 3 for $10
Delicious cheeses on the cheese plate, including one from my fave Cowgirl Creamery. $12 for just cheese and $14 with some salami - also had honey, marmalade, nuts, and crackers on the plate so gave the cheese experience lots of variety.
    Friendly, attentive, eye candy bartender.
Comfy cute corner table for our group of four giggly girls.
    Best lunch of the weekend!

My favorite place to come after a day of skiing or if I am just 'in the hood'. Always friendly, great wines, great fun and Kali rocks!!
Friday's often has a wine maker pouring, specials for ski groups, snacks available and the fabulous selection of wines by the glass makes this the wine place to be in Squaw Valley!

One of the best places in the Village at Squaw Valley. We went on a wednesday and certain glasses are $4 for ladies. Wine tasting is $10 and you get to choose 3 wines from the list. I tried many of them and they were delicious. A plate of cheese went well with it also. My girlfriend had lots of song requests for Tuck, who was a singer performing there. He happily sang all the songs. We got to meet many of the locals and they were all really nice. The people that worked there went around mingling with the guest and sipping on wine. That gave this place a very friendly and mellow feel.

Both wine bars are superb at Squaw Village and The Cobblestone Tahoe City. Kali is warm, friendly and ever willing to discuss the wines with contrasts on yours and her likes and dislikes. Kali's recommendations were superb (although she ought to like Zinfandel a bit more ;-)

The selection of cheese with two glasses for 20 was a treat. Great recommendation on the (fairly) local Roussanne from Holly's Hill, near Placeerville, CA and the Pinot from Truchard, Napa, CA...great wines that do not bust the budget. Will definitely go back.

This place was horrible. It was not busy when I was there, but I waited over 15 minutes and was never even offered a menu. I finally cleared my own table, grabbed a menu, conferred with the rest of my party and tried to order. I walked to the counter, waited another few minutes, no one said anything to me. I finally managed to get someone. I was told they were out of one of the wines listed for the daily special. When I asked what the substitute was, the person behind the counter seemed annoyed. She said something like well, maybe you could have this or something. I told her I'd think about. I did. I decided to leave. I went over to the Plump Jack Cafe and bought a bottle of wine instead. Much better service and selection. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! HORRIBLE TERRIBLE SERVICE! The worst service I've ever had at a wine bar or restaurant.

Last weekend, I made the trek up to Tahoe for a girls weekend.  We had grand plans of laying poolside and hiking only to discover it was freezing in Tahoe.  Our fun was not to be foiled.  Drinks were in order.

We were staying at the Squaw Valley Resort and the helpful staff there pointed us in the direction of Uncorked.  After an adventurous trek through the woods/golf course we made it.

While there are a lot of pricey options in this shop, the store clerk was really helpful in finding our (possibly) obnoxious group of 8 find everything we were looking for (namely cheap champagne).

And the cowgirl creamery cheese was yummy too!

And they do wine deliveries!  On a bike! We kept this as an option in case we bought too little wine...

This place was really nice. Unpretentious while still being classy. Earthy, stoneware decor and simple details. Ok, hard to describe the ambiance here without sounding like an HGTV wannabe. We were here for a Red Rock tasting event and were pleasantly surprised with the wine selection and the service. We had a couple malbecs with the salame cheese plate. Get the cheese plate, very worth it. Also, sexy staff.

Earlier this month we spent the day hiking above the Village area of Squaw Valley via the Tram.  Then, after a 3 hour hike downward to the base of the mountain, we decided to refresh a bit and visited Uncorked. It was not a terribly busy late-afternoon, thus we were sincerely greeted and elected to sample their bar-side offerings and review a quite-extensive inventory.

Most of their retail is California grown - BUT we were equally impressed that there is a smattering of boutique Oregon and Walla Walla product. FANTASTIC.

I compliment the owner and staff for their genuine hospitality and knowledge.  I wound up purchasing 6 bottles of various regions  and look forward to sharing them with family and friends at home.

Uncorked is a class act!  Thank you for making this retail establishment a solid addition to our community.

This is a wine tasting room with a lovely atmosphere and extensive wine selection.  There is some captivating artwork and a modern wine wall.  They have a daily tasting flight.  I would probably give more stars for the staff and atmosphere than the tasting flight that we had.  Our flight was a Brut which I didn't try, a Rutherford Chardonnay, which was smooth but fruity and crisp, a Bogle Pinot which was light and drinkable, and a Seghesio Zinfindel, all widely available wines.  I would like to see a flight of some more interesting wines that are more representative of the purchase selection.

I liked how the hostesses came around and gave background on the tastes that we had.  It's great to have a store like this in Squaw Valley so you can drink high quality small production wines when you are on off the slopes.

Awesome little wine tasting venue with great selection of wines.  Kali and Brittan are the best... So friendly and hospitable.  Nice atmosphere and a great little wine bar.  They do Cheese plates and have tastings every day.  They have a really nice selection of fine wines.  They are the best in the area there.  You have to stop in and see them.  They are wonderful.  They will be a regular stop from now on every time we are in Squaw Valley.

I came here during the Art and Bark festival at Squaw this year.  (Sooo much fun BTW).  I tasted so much yummy wine and had to buy some at Uncorked.  They had an AMAZING selection.  The staff was really helpful and friendly.  The prices were fair.  They also have a bar where you can order glasses and it looked like cheese plates and other apps.  Outdoor seating too.

A perfect stop on your apres ski Squaw Village drink fest.  We stopped in after a few beers at Chamiox and found ourselves in the midst of a Venge wine tasting.  I was not familiar with this Napa winery, but was very happy with our experience.  The wines were delicious, if not amazing, and the hosts/owners were very friendly and appreciative of our business.  I thought the tasting fee was a little steep at $20, but i guess i would've paid $20 for a glass or two of wine elsewhere anyway.

The actual space is a cozy loft-like space with a vine installation above the tasting bar. The wine selections vary covering a wide variety of wines from a Spanish bubbly Cava to a dark, rich Zin.  Stop in for a tasting and leave with a couple bottles!

Great little place tucked in at Squaw village.  I love the decor, it's simple and has nice earth tones mixed in with hard  and cold ceiling and floors. I like the way the wine is displayed on the vertical racks it makes it very easy to pick out labels you are familiar with.  We sat and tried wines with the owner, Kali, who herself is very very knowledgable and works the tastings herself.  She had a vast variety of reds and I tried and brought home a French white!

We left with 6 bottles of wine total if that means anything. It is exactly what the new village needed. Not everybody wants a beer after a day on the slopes!

We will definatley stop in each time we're in town!

I was at Uncorked for a benefit for Biking for a Better World, but would probably return for other wine tastings and events.  I can see that Uncorked will probably do very well in Squaw, appealing to tourists and apres-skiers as an way to spend the evening that is off the beaten path.  The ambiance is nice, if not a bit loud.  The accoustics in there are a bit rough from a high metal ceiling.  There is an amazing tree branch suspended in the air which adds quite a bit and great lighting.

The night I was there they had a representative from Chance Creek wines showcasing three of their varietals.  After a $10 tasting, you have the option of buying other wines by the glass or just purchasing a bottle that you can drink there or take home or both.  It's a great service.  You can also do a tasting off their normal by-the-glass menu as well for $10.
