You can get a 3-wine tasting for $10: <a href="http://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=EJ5-h6KllGY2mNXxpK9YwA&userid=wG9d5TxOKKgbd8O08-kntA">http://www.yelp.com/user…</a>
(I liked the Banshee Mordecai white, and the Torbreck Woodcutter's Shiraz).
The cheese plate is good: <a href="http://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=1fpqyA1OY5eEb7vmeGnGEA&userid=wG9d5TxOKKgbd8O08-kntA">http://www.yelp.com/user…</a>
This wine bar, and the Petra wine bar at Northstar, are under the same ownership, but I recommend this location. Â The wine bar at Northstar is more expensive, and tends to close early on slow days.
Uncorked in Truckee was an accidental pleasure for my wife and I as we wandered in to rest our feet and sip a glass of Sauvignon Blanc after an hour or so of boutique shopping in downtown Truckee (not my best sport). Very nice selection of wines from all over the world and reasonably priced. We also noshed on a wonderful cheese plate that hit the spot. But, this was a five star experience because of the wonderfully engaging service from the adorable Molly. We'll be back and will also try their other locations in Squaw Valley and Tahoe City.
