  Food was sub par to say the least. Staff very accommodating. Soup so salty it was uneatable but server replaced it without any questions for something else. If you want basic bar type food it would be okay but don't venture off and try something other than burgers or tidbits.

  Perhaps  at some point this place was good? I wish I had paid a visit then. I posted my review a few hours after "dining" there sunday nite. It was proportionate to our horrible experience. Mediocre food, flat soda and apologetic servers. Less than 12 hours later and my review was taken down? Yelp is doing a disservice to their customer base by allowing  this to happen! BTW..there is a McDonalds less than a mile from this place..you'd be better served to give it a try!

  I hate giving this place 2 stars, but it's been earned.  My wife and I would frequent the Union Park Cafe until a few instances of absolutely awful food drove us to "McQuade's" or "Alias Smith & Jones."  
  
  I was a pure Steak Tidbit enthusiast here, but went for a Marinated Skirt Steak off the specials menu one night.  Now, I've never had "Salted Meat" before, but what I was served must surely have qualified.  The owner was very nice about it and comped our entire meal, so we chalked it up as a Mulligan. A few month later we returned to have a late lunch and again tried a Special Menu item.  Now according to AA, insanity is repeating the same behavior over and over, expecting a different result.  I guess I'm a "loon," because again my meal was inedible.  I sent it back and was comped again, but have not returned since.  My gut is to say, "You'll be fine if you stay away from the specials," but all I've ever had there that was good was the Tidbits, and unlike the song: "Two outta three IS bad."

  Happening place in Oceanside.
  
  This is a great little bar / pub / restaurant in a very easy to miss location.  It is located right on busy Long Beach Road just as it forks in Oceanside- so unless you know the place is there, you will drive right by while concentrating on the traffic.
  
  Bartenders are great here and exceedingly friendly.  The food is very good- standard pub fare: a lot of choices and everything is tasty and prices are fair.
