We just left Lawson pub and the food was good. We had the special fish which was like swordfish, the fish could have had a little bit more sauce but just a little. Overall the fish was perfectly cook. The soup was good, right balance of cheese bread and onions. The flavor was right on with the perfect about of salt.
Dessert for $3.95 was just a perfect for the amount of money, except DOnt advertise gelato and serve beyers ice cream.
The wine list is not amazing but for $22 you can't go wrong, we returned our first glass of wine it tasted like box wine.
We had a toddler with us and the hostess and staffed looked annoyed and not happy to have a toddler but hey our daughter is used to dining out so the staff should get over that.
Overall we would go back for the food but the staff could be friendlier and more engaging.
It just BLOWS my mind that this establishment is still going strong for over 35 +++ years. I used to go to this place when I still lived in Oceanside, the town I grew up in.
The best garlic bread, mozzarella steak sandwich on the freaking planet. Well it used to be served as tidbits, like 12 two bite mini open faced sandwich's. Always had great food, and I cannot believe that this place still rocks out really good food. Way to go Lawson Pub.
