Ate here twice during our weekend shopping trip. Service was fast and friendly and the food was great both times! Go for the chicken spinnocoli...you won't be disappointed!

This place was decidedly ok. No great. Not awful. But definitely the best of your available options surrounding Birch Run.

Bypassing the pizza, I ordered the chicken spinoccoli.  It's a chicken breast stuffed with feta, mozzarella, broccoli, spinach, tomatoes, garlic and basil. The flavors were good, but the chicken was overcooked and dry. This isn't rocket science -- it's a ^%$#@! chicken breast!

The servie was decidedly ok as well. The waitress was friendly, but forgetful. I think I asked her three times for a glass of water before it finally arrived.

Would I go back? Only if it remains the best of the otherwise lousy options around Birch Run.

Not my favorite restaurant but still good.  The girls and I went here for lunch.  I've been a few times before that when I lived in Birch Run too.  The service has always been great.  I ordered soup and half of a sandwich for 7.49.  Not bad.  It's conveniently nestled in the outlets, so you can fuel up or take a break from shopping.

Horrible place to eat, service sucked, didn't get one refill the whole time, the steak was frozen, and the waitresses were taking salad out of a drawer without gloves or a hair net, I about threw up. Never eating here again......

Of all the eateries in the Birch Run/Frankenmuth area this one may be the least offensive. Mostly because I never REALLY met a slice of a pizza I didn't like. Even bad pizza is still pizza!

It's middle of the road, chain fare but it's not terrible as long as you go with the pizza (can't speak for anything else on the menu). It's deep dish but it doesn't quite live up to the the spots in Chicago (despite being named after one of the most famous joints there) but it's a thick crust with plenty of cheese and toppings. I lived in Chicago off and on for a few years and became very attached to Lou Malnati's and this doesn't hold a candle. But it does fulfill my need for a fork full of cheese! A personal sized pizza is more than enough for 2 meals as well.

The wait during a busy shopping day can be a bit long but that'll be the case most anywhere you go in the area, even Applebees. Inside it's like any chain restaurant. Nothing fancy but it's relatively clean and the waitstaff are friendly enough. Prices are a bit steep for a chain but if you go with a few folks and split a pizza you won't break your wallet.

I would have given a better rating if I didn't feel like the server was trying to rush us out the door.

Food was great! I had the 6oz steak with a side of mashed cauliflower and a grain salad thing... It was great. Hubby had the calamari starter and the fettuccine for his main course ...

My coffee was cold! I had to ask several times for milk instead of cream but this goes right back to feeling lie we were being rushed out the door. I don't think we will return

The food?  Well, it's Uno's, so it is pretty good pizza and OK other stuff.

The service?  I think the waitress kept forgetting about us.  After we were sat, it was 10 minutes to get a drink order and I had to hunt down the hostess to find our waitress to take our food order.  She came over seemingly surprised that we were ready to order, with no apology for keeping us and antsy kids waiting.  (No, she wasn't busy.)  She seemed more annoyed than anything to have customers.

I thought this place was A-ok! I got the vegetarian pizza and added some chicken! I love lots of veggies on my pizza but still want a little meat thrown in the mix.

The kids loved making their own pizza and wearing the little plastic aprons they were given.

Decent service, tasty pizza, would go here again if I am near one!

I've been here twice now, and though both times were because our friends and Husband's colleagues wanted to eat here, the experiences have been enjoyable. Conveniently located in the Birch Run Premium Outlets wing closest to Polo Ralph Lauren, this place is easy to find. There is ample parking, and great for groups. They have a bar seating area and a dining room area; both a good size.

Husband and I like their Fish and Chips ($11.99) and Roasted Eggplant with Spinach and Feta thin crust pizza ($10.49). Each time, the food has been consistent. The Fish and Chips come with a reddish tartar sauce that I've never personally tried because I'm not much of a tartar sauce person, but the piece of haddock is a decent portion; not mindblowing huge. Probably enough for one person if you're not super hungry. Though pales in comparison to our recent Canadian experience, it's fresh, hot, and not super super greasy. The fries are mediocre at best because they don't taste freshly fried.

The pizza is a great value, and the crust is well seasoned. They have an option for a nine-grain crust or a traditional, and each time, we've ordered the nine-grain and it tastes wonderful with the toppings of the eggplant, sundried tomatoes, and spinach. Feta cheese is lightly topped and never overpowering, so kudos to the people who make the pizzas. Only thing that I'm not a fan of? It's never piping hot, and I like my pizzas hot! However, for the $10.49 price tag, 2 people can enjoy 4-5 slices each and be full, or eat 1-2 and take the rest home as leftovers. Yay for the veggies!

Friends have ordered their rattlesnake pasta, salmon with rice and breadstick entree, and deep dish pizza, and I'd say their pasta and thin crust pizzas are definitely their forte. In fact, on a recent trip, a friend ordered their deep dish with chicken alfredo and it looked like a nightmare. Small in size, and it looked like a bunch of cheese and cream just tossed into a pan. No pizza crust in sight! Yikes!

Service is a hit or miss, depending on who you get. If you are part of their monthly club, you get some great cash incentives and coupons. They even have monthly tastings for new food combinations they are experimenting with that are free for club members.

Haven't been here for happy hour, but Husband and colleagues have thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and 50% discount on drinks and some apps isn't bad right? ;)

All in all, a satisfying place if you are either outlet shopping with family and friends or driving north or south on the I-75 and don't want to resort to the fast food joint. Just stick with the pasta dishes and thin crust pizzas and you will have a good time.

I stopped here for lunch Christmas Eve with a party of 4 adults, 1 child and 1 toddler.  The restaurant was pretty empty since we were there well after 1pm.  Two adults had pizza, one a salad and one a soup and salad combo.  The pizza eaters were well satisfied with their Jambalaya pizza and Numero Uno pizza.  The kids' pizza was good too.  I had broccoli cheese soup which was delicious and half a veggie goat cheese wrap, which was just ok.  Kind of like fajitas w/o the meat, mushy and very wet with very little cheese.  The soup should have been all you can eat, but I forgot and the wait person didn't ask if I wanted more.  My poor mom got the wrong salad but ate it anyway.  The wait person was not terribly attentive even though there were very few customers in the restaurant at the time.

The food was delicious. My family and I split a pepperoni and ham deep dish pizza. The regular size was enough for two pieces for each of us, and there were three of us. It was cooked perfectly and was very filling.
The wait staff was very nice and speedy, and checked on us without being annoying.
The hostess staff was efficient and the wait time was exactly what they said it would be.
I would go back again in a heartbeat.

    Meh. Especially for the price.

If you dine here, stick to the pizza. We came up here on the spur of the moment to shop so we were not necessarily in the mood for pizza. Ok I was not in the mood for pizza, my husband can always eat pizza but he hates individual deep dish as it's just too much crust and too little toppings.

So it's my fault we weren't happy here.

I went with a special. Chimichurri cap steak. Ordered medium rare, delivered medium. It was not horrible and we were not in any mood to wait so I kept it. Besides in the back section we were in every other table got a freebie and the manager? was running around apologizing to all and sundry as well as strongarming an idle bartender to get off her ass and help the waitstaff.

This manager definitely needed a anti anxiety med, she was none too subtle about her frazzled state to everyone she encountered. As we were leaving staff was flocking to her asking what they could do for her and she was saying quite loudly to pick things up as they come up in the windows. Based on what I observed and ate I would say our food sat awhile under the warmers.

My steak was overdone, my mashed cauliflower was dried out and not hot and my husband's pasta was past al dente and the top was dry and cold when delivered. Luckily our paltry portioned salads were at least tasty. Breadsticks were too. Our waiter seemed overwhelmed but was very friendly and made sure to get us refills on pop.

I will not be back. Probably not even for pizza, three were complained about for one reason or another near us. Yikes.

Started off waiting 30+ minutes when we were originally told, 20 minutes-maybe sooner.  The place is overstaffed and you can expect to see staff and managers standing around the entrance amongst the guests waiting to get seated while tables sit vacant for about 10 minutes after they have been cleared and set.  Bathrooms look like those at a frat party - not pretty or even maintained.  Pizza was good, having the kids make there own pizzas was great.  The scampi was almost tasteless.  The actual service was pretty solid.  The place is pretty much what you'd expect when you have a captive audience that doesn't have many other good choices near the outlet.  Could be dramatically better if the management put some more effort into the customer experience.  We'll try other places the next time we visit Birch Run but we would go back but only for the pizza.

The real Chicago pizza and the pizza skins are definitely something I would recommend trying. I had been to an Uno's before in Bay City years ago and finally managed to go to this one. The wait staff has been great every time and we had a great time watching a baseball game the first time and the second lunch crowd was great too.

My parents moved to Birch Run in 2003 and I would say when visiting we go out to eat about 70% of the time. I have been to all of their "diamonds in the rough" diners and have yet to become a fan of them. I always encourage my parents to bring me to a local non-chain place but sometimes I just have to cave in and realize that there aren't many better/consistent restaurants in the Birch Run area than Uno's.

I haven't had Uno's pizza since the first or second time I went to the restaurant. I've been there about 10 times in the last year or so. Each time I go I try to find someone new and unique and I am usually happy with the result. The smashed cauliflower side is great. The steamed seasonal vegetables are usually undercooked and mediocre.

The one thing I have to compliment Uno's on is their service. I've been in the place with big groups at heavy traffic and light traffic times and they've always been great. There have been a couple times when management noticed that we sent a plate back for heating and they've instantly taken over the situation/offered coupons/just gave a great overall customer service experience.

Best stop on the way to northern Michigan. Every trip! It's real Chicago-style pizza.
