Decent breakfast. The special was Callahan bread French roast, which was very good. Service was just ok, but in their defense I think that our server was a bit inexperienced. Interior was nice, though slightly musky smell; bathrooms were immaculate. A nice place for a standard American menu. Â Not my favorite place in north Conway, but a good substitute when everywhere else is full with long waits.
Review Source:A place of american food to fill your gut after a long day of riding the saco river. Beware of children in strollers and families who bring the noise level to peak volume! Avoid the noise by going at off hours or after 8pm when its their bed time! Admire the wall decorations, and kooky suit of armor. The nachos there are not the one...
Review Source:Stumbling in from the hotel across the street, I was excited to find this little bar. What else is going to be open on Thanksgiving? It has the perfect small bar decore and they had karaoke and pool. I also appreciated the nice pool sign up list on the wall.
I fully enjoyed this bar I don't really have anything negative to say about it except for the fact that you couldn't get shots. That I thought was odd. Otherwise this was a pretty nice bar, I'd absolutely go here if I lived in the area
While I wouldnt use the word gross, I would say 'meh'....
We heard from more than one person that this was a great place to go, but it turned into simply ok. The service was awesome! Mandy was very attentive and offered excellent suggestions. I had a Grilled Chicken Panini which was good until a rather unfortunate sighting occured...
Trix had the fish and chips with the 2 biggest fish fillets I've ever seen! How on Earth do they expect someone to eat that!?
It was a bit more expensive than I would've liked (but then again everything up here is...) and the dining room just had an empty vibe to it so that's an easy 3 in my book.
Not sure why so much hate here. Maybe the other reviewers were expecting something else. This is a great place to go for drinks and apps. I wouldn't plan a nice dinner out here. Its more like a sports bar. HUGE 12 foot projection screen. Many other flat screens. This is a great place to see a game. Try it in the fall when the Sox are in the playoffs. Can't beat the feeling of the crowd. And it does get crowded.
Review Source:We went to Up Country for dinner on Saturday night.  The portions were HUGE!  I ordered the fish & chips and by the time I was done eating still had 1/2 a fish on my plate.  It was excellent though - a real piece of fish not that breaded generic crap.  They had the best kids menu around ( I did notice that EVERY restaurant seems to have the same generic kids menu - my 5 year-old was not happy, except here).  My guy has mushroom encrusted chicken - said it was delicious!  We actually regretted that we didn't get a hotel room with a kitchenette so we could take the leftovers.  Bonus - every table has a Barrel of Monkeys on it so we had fun playing while waiting for the food (you can get  Connect Four & other games too if you ask).
Review Source:Don't go. Â Just don't do it - go to the Muddy Moose instead. Â The most appalling thing: Â my friend asked for gin & tonic, and they gave her Tanqueray & Sprite. Â Listen people, I know this is like the backwoods of NH, but we are still in New England: soda is not called tonic. Â It's called soda. Â But even still....gin & tonic...kind of a well-known drink, no? Â Correct me if I am wrong. Â I am still livid, and it wasn't even my drink! Â The tables were dirty. Â Food was not good, well, maybe the fries were decent, but it's not worth it as Matt said, don't go, even on ladies nights (cheap entrees). Â Bathrooms were clean & warm though, not too often you find that.
