Moat Mountain Smokehouse & Brewing

I love this place! The menu had plenty of flavorful options. Our waiter Scott was attentive and personable! We tried the 6 beer sampler for $6. Money well spent because we liked them all. There was however a favorite, Hoffman Weiss. This beer had hints of banana and clove. We were not ready to part with it. Scott let us know we could continue our love affair and take home a growler for $15. We will be back, not only because we can refill our growler for $9 but because everything was amazing.

We came here hungry after a long tiring hike to Mt Washington from Pinkham Notch, and we were not disappointed. The $6 beer sampler was the perfect cure for my fatigue, loved every single one of them. Then came the amazing food. To save a few bucks I went with the salmon burger which had be floored with the white sauce that accompanied the neatly done patty. The salmon entree was great as well, and veggie friend went with the homemade veg patty burger which turned out sensational. The servers were very friendly and quick. All in all, if I ever come back to hike the white mountains, this is one place I won't miss!

This is, hands down, my favorite place to go in the North Conway area, and maybe even most of New England. It is indeed a busy place, and they do pack a lot of folks in the restaurant. If you're looking for a quaint, quiet nook to contemplate the universe, this is probably not a good place to go. But if you want good food and beer in a lively atmosphere, this is it! Like many other have said, don't show up at prime time super-hungry. Get a reservation for best results.

I've never been disappointed in the food, but the beer is fantastic. They have a very skilled head brewer and their consistency and quality is on par with large breweries.
