We had an exceptional meal here. That's mainly due to the new chef, and partly due to the friendliness and knowledge and welcoming nature of the bartender (we ate in the comfortable bar). A good if not great selection of beers was helpful after a long day of hiking and shopping. The shrimp/scallop scampi in a buttery, garlicky wine reduction was excellent. The delicious fresh, sweet sea scallops and shrimp had a velvet robing and the sauce was not salty but plenty garlicky. There was a delicious veal pot roast, rich and melt in your mouth. The next table had great looking burgers with hand cut fries. Fine walnut salad to finish (we prefer salad at the end of the meal, a good palate freshener). The bartender treated us to a tasting of his house-made lemon or lime 'cellos. WAY better than the bottled kind (he infuses vodka with dozens of peels for about a week). Overall this place was a pleasant surprise, and a welcome foody-gem in a valley full of pretty mediocre eats.
Review Source:I had lunch there with my girlfriend and the chowder was something special. Â Its often tough to separate one chowder form another but maybe it was the tarragon but it was one of the best cups I had. Â
The chicken sandwich I had was great, lot of chowder, and I had a great fresh salad.  overall I'm going back and I would recommend this place.  Service was great as well server was very friendly  and knowledgeable about the food.
