    The Uptown Tavern is not your typical Schuylkill County dive. The environment is clean and pleasant and the owner is both friendly and entertaining. John knows how to make mixed drinks that pack a punch but don't taste like battery acid. It's also got the best bar food in the area by a long margin: big, juicy burgers, waffle fries, tasty wings, and great desserts. Also, they take credit/debit cards, which can be handy.

    I can't believe the place has been open for ten years and I  didn't go in until last night. Highly recommended!

    Customer service was fantastic!!!!  Owner made the night!!! He knows his drinks and made some sweeeeeet drinks!!! Fyi: adult chocolate milk shots!!!! Scrumptious!!
