Outstanding. Greeted by the owner. Warm friendly atmosphere. Good food. Good portions. Great service. What more could you want?

For some reason the map shows this place north of Royston, but it's actually just north of Bowman, south of Royston. Anyway...we decided to stop here for dinner on the way back from the movies, since it was my hubbies birthday. We knew they are only open Friday and Saturday evenings. We had heard it was the best BBQ around, and that people traveled from 3 or 4 counties away just to eat here.
Well. I wasn't impressed with the outside. Needs paint, it's covered with tarps in the back, and just looks run down. The dining room isn't much better, badly in need of refreshing the decor, giving the walls a good scrub, and freshening up the place.
The service was quick and friendly. They bring you out a bag of chips as soon as you sit down.
The food came super fast, and now I know why they drive 3 or 4 counties...Yum. The ribs are fall apart heavenly, and the chopped pork is pretty good. They give you 3 sauces to choose from. The coleslaw is good, the brunswick stew was just ok, I've had better, and the baked beans were pretty good.
But the ribs and pork are worth the drive, and the prices are good too. Great tea, fast service.
If you're craving some BBQ, this is the place. If you want a fancy 5 star dining experience, not so much.
