    Very good service and food

They seem to have new management who is very concerned with customer service and return customers. So I visited again. This time the service was great. Cooper took care of us and very attentive. The food was great, fresh, and hot.

This place is inside our subdivision so it is very convenient and close to home. The service is pretty good, we have had bad service a few times though. The menu items are hit or miss. The burgers, chicken fried steak and their house salads are really good. We usually just grab a quick bite because its close. I hope it makes it though as this location has been 4 different restaurants in the last few years.

Been there twice, and won't go back.

The servers are delightful, and they have good fried pickles, but those are the only redeeming qualities :(

We live right across the street, so I really wanted to like this place. Sadly this isn't the case. On our first trip the messed up my husbands order (steak cooked rare instead of well done??? How does that even happen?? AND the wrong side items), and my pulled pork tasted horrible and burnt. We gave them the benefit of the doubt though because EVERYONE in our area raves about them, and went a second time. McDonalds has better tasting hamburgers and fries, and the queso dip was horrible too. It was thick and lumpy and tasted nasty, and a few hours after eating my queso dip I was stuck in the restroom sick all night.

    Never EVER again.

I visited Varsity Roadhouse at their Aubrey location for the first time. The reason I am giving 2 stars is because the customer service is excellent.  The food that I was served was very cold. I also felt that the food was overpriced. I would encourage people to pass on this restaurant.

Hey everyone.  Let's support this small business instead of chains.  This place has great burgers and wings, way better than Scotty-P's burgers.  There is no reason why this place shouldn't succeed.

I'm sad to say this place was horrible. Maybe i should have stuck with the bar food....wings...etc. All I can say is that if you like seasoning.. you may need to rethink coming here.

If you love salad for desert, this place is for you. I've been here twice and both times the salad was forgotten until the entree arrived. I would have pointed this fact out to the server sooner if they had bothered to stop by the table.   Make sure you sip your drink slowly or you can walk up to the  serving area and refill your own ice tea like I did. The first time I went was the week after they opened so I assumed they were getting up to speed. The second visit was 3 weeks later so they should have had their act together by then. As for the food, the ribs were a victim of global warming and were seriously dry and overcooked. The chicken fried steak was sourced from a local leather factory.  The only reason this place gets 2 stars is that it's not a bad place to have a beer and watch a game, just don't go when you're hungry.

This place is very new and nice the food is really good. I think they would get more buisness if they added a pool table ans some more stools at the bar. The service is okay our server was a bit spacie but our expo Anthony made our expierance awesome he was more attentive then our server very friendly and funny. My stars are based on him alone

This place has great beer and good food.  The service staff is good too. The only issue I have is space. The bar area is waaaaay too small.  The bar surface is huge but they only have 6 bar stools.  I've come in many times for a beer and I couldn't sit at the bar because there's already 6 people here.  But lots of standing room.  I also don't like that they have the country music channel GAC on every TV and blaring over the restaurant speakers all the time.  But I absolutely love the staff.  Sara is great behind the bar at lunchtime.

We tried this place for the second time for lunch on Wednesday. We were greeted by a woman who ended up being our server.  We both had the bacon cheeseburgers and they were both much better than we were expecting. Not quite Scotty Ps but close. I had the hashbrown casserole and DH had the onion rings; the casserole was delicious. It appears they put up more lighting, which they desperately needed. Now my gripes:
    - No managers in sight, period. You guys recently opened. A manager should be checking every single table for satisfaction!
    - Our server (like last time) only kept my drink full. DH never received a refill, minus his requests for one. Our server was annoying. She kept yelling across the restaurant at some other server complaining about "Why do they have 3 of us on? None of us are going to make any money!" Seriously? If you hate your job so much, then quit.
Overall: Food was 10x better than our first visit, but the servers are annoying and cannot be bothered to refill drinks. Management clearly does not care about guest feedback. They need to hire competent staff ASAP. Decent food alone will not keep you in business; incompetent servers and useless managers are the death of any restaurant. At this point, I will not be returning.

I'm not a huge fan of going to soft openings or shortly after grand openings, but I was hungry so we went.

The food: Eh, I got the Aspen Burger: swiss & mushroom with sour cream $9.99  Not enough mushrooms, the burger was a bit overcooked and not that juicy. Definitely not worth 10 bucks.  Fried Jalapeno slices were not bad. They give you a basket full. I think the breading mix could be fixed a bit. I'd rather eat stuffed instead of sliced as well.  Oddly enough, my fries were the highlight of the meal even though they weren't crispy at all.

The atmosphere: Nothing special and nothing extraordinary. Just a simple sports bar type feel with tv's all over the place. The only problem I could find in all of that is the same game was playing on multiple televisions. If there were 10 TV's in the room, only 3 different games were on. They could expand the coverage imo.

The service: Our waiter was pleasant and fairly timely. I think the kitchen was slow though which makes the front of the house seem off.

Overall, I think it's too bad that this location does indeed seemed cursed. It is in the middle of nowhere and I think it will take a real name brand place to move in in order to survive.  I don't think Varsity Roadhouse is that place. Would I give it another try? Possibly, but not anytime soon.

We were hoping the food and service would be as good as the Frisco location - we were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and attentive. Our server provided great service throughout. We all enjoyed the food and was surprised how good the steak was. Looking forward to a return visit and this may turn out to be our favorite restaurant in the area. Compared to the previous restaurants at this site they are off to a good start!

Overall it was good and I will go back. Pros: Great burgers. I had the blue cheese burger and it was awesome. Really good seasoning. The grilled chicken was cooked good, was moist,  and seasoned correctly. The house salad is kind of unique and was really good. The only thing I can agree with for the cons, like the other posts said, the fries were very bad. You may want to sample a fry or give it a few weeks for them to change  how they cook them before going with fries as a side. This place should be around for a while.

I'm beginning to think this location is cursed... it has all the signs of the previous restaurants... VERY SLOW kitchen and mediocre food, this is definitely not the same restaurant as it's twin in Frisco.  I am very disappointed and am done with "soft openings",i.e. your either ready to open or your not.
Food:  ordered grilled chicken entree, it was burnt---to a black charcoal crisp on the entire underside, clearly someone in the kitchen pulled a fast one and thought it would not be noticed, not cool at all and very weak.   Fries also tasted off, greasy, and just bad....

Kids food: typical fare, but the hamburger bun was too big for the kid burger...which made my little girl pipe up and say "Look at all this bread daddy!"  Oy.... I can say the salad was good, yes the salad was a nice mix of greens.  Server got my 3 yr old's mac n cheese out in 5 mins, which was very much appreciated given what could have happened waiting for the rest of the food.

Service:  was attentive and appears to be locals from our neighborhood (which again is why i want this place to succeed)  Only negative was my charcoal chicken was not comped----Manager apologized, but just comping the chicken would have made me all better.

I really hope this place rights the ship fast.... When families start showing up en masses for the free food for kids during the week if the kitchen doesnt get the food out faster its going to be 0-4 at this location.
