I don't get down to Provo often (maybe 2 times in 5 years) but when I had an event to attend at Velour, I jumped at the chance to go sightseeing down there.

Everyone at velour was SO nice. The owner was nice, the staff was nice. No douchey bouncers here ordering you around at all. The sound quality was great and I loved the decor of the place. Slightly religious, but not off-putting.

I can't believe I had such a good time at a dry club.

Been here once, for Low.  Tried to make Band of Annuals on an earlier date, but it was sold out.  Loved this venue.  It's good to have local music, and good to have a nice place where people aren't drunk.  Mostly standing room, with a little seating along the sides.  Nice people running it.

Velour is an all-ages music menu smack-dab in the middle of Provo. Catering mostly to the local music scene, Velour offers a safe, clean and comfortable place to hangout with friends and enjoy music. Since it is all-ages Velour does attract a younger crowd and since they don't serve alcohol, the patrons are generally well-behaved and seldom unruly. Apparently the owner takes music pretty seriously (friend of his told me so) and I think it shows since Velour is not only one of the best sounding small venues I've been to, it is also one of the nicest looking. The inside of Velour is creatively decorated, with cool stained glass looking windows behind the stage and good lighting throughout. If you're in the mood for some local music Velour is definitely worth visiting.
