Verus Sports Bar and Grill

I stopped into Vs. to grab lunch before work a couple days ago.  I was quite surprised how rundown and unclean the restaurant appeared for being so new.  It definitely seemed cheap and thrown together.  I had the buffalo chicken wrap and my husband and I split the sloppy fries.  The food was edible but definitely mediocre at best, not the least bit imaginative.  If you're a single guy, the only positive might be the servers wearing shorts that could barely pass as underwear.

I agree with everything previous reviewer said. I think they should call restaurant impossible to fix the restaurant. The bartender made my long island ice tea wrong. The table we sat at was not bused and the waitress gave us a bar towel to clean the table ourselves only after we asked. The food tasted like it was all out of a freezer bag except for the chili and you can get better at Wendy's. So sum-up the waitstaff was poor, the bartender was poor ,the food was poor, and the service was poor.

I have been to Versus 3 times since they opened and have had pretty much the same experience every time.  Gross deep-fried frozen food and a staff that is clueless.  All 3 times the staff has messed up our order, overcharged the bill or forgot to bring out food.  We have been there 2 times for lunch and once for drinks after work.  Both lunch servers forgot about us, didn't refill drinks or check up on us.  During the after work drinks I was charged 3 different amounts for the same drink every time I got a refill?  The food is crap frozen junk with no originality at all.  I had wings on one occasion that were barely cooked and tasted like they were in a freezer for 12 years.  The other time I had a dry hamburger.  I guess the place gets a good crowd at night, there is really no other place to go in Johnstown with a patio so they have that niche market to fall back on.  I don't understand how anyone can stand the food but there really are no other options unless you drive 8 miles to New Albany or get fast food.... I hate to write scathing reviews but Versus is pretty bad in both service and quality of food.
