This is a review of the bar, which is open to the public, not of the VFW post as a whole.
I've been to several VFWs around the country, and this is one of the best. Â It is very much a full-service small-town neighborhood bar.
There's plenty of seating, shuffleboard, several video games including PowerPutt, an ATM, a nice patio area, and several additional rooms. There's also several displays of medals and war memorabilia.
The staff here are very friendly and helpful. Â We happened to be here on Veteran's Day and the place was absolutely packed, but the bartender and other employees/volunteers were happy to take some time to talk with us.
At the end of our visit we bought 20 drink tokens and passed them around to as many veterans as we could find to thank them for their service. :)
