Wowzers! Â Beautiful place to taste. Â Added bonus-- they serve some snacks too. Â This place is a yellow Tuscan villa located on the outskirts of Paso. Â It's perhaps a tad gaudy, but the wine and food were delicious!
Stay for the views and the serenity. Â Buy a glass of wine and take it to the patio and linger next to the fountain. Â Â
They are all set up for live musics and concerts in the summer too. Â
Built and owned by the producers (or creators?) of American Idol...which is why it's so nice. Â You can tell a ton of money was put into the place. Â We even debated having our wedding here, but later realized it just wasn't for us.
Spectacular tasting experience, gorgeousness grounds, above average wines and just an all the way around classy presentation. LeeAnne was our pourer. Obviously this passionate gal knows her wines, the individual nuances and highlights, the growing areas and enthusiastically leads you through the journey of the tasting with extremes finesse. She is likely one of the best I have had the enjoyable experience to taste with. I learned. I loved the experience.
I tried the $20, full flight tasting which allowed me to keep my glass. The red blend Chorum, at $22 is a great buy, along with the Grenache and were my favorites. The $75 case price on a really grand Riesling- the Fat Monk was my bonus buy for the day! Â
This vineyard, owned by Nigel Lythgoe and Ken Warwick, television icons have a home run with top tiered tasting experience. Since it has just opened, my guess it will be standing room only shortly.
