Primarily a sports bar, Village Pub features large burgers and an extensive beer list. Their portions are larger than they really need to be - probably to appease the sports watching crowd. An order of nachos could have satisfied a crowd of 4 or 6. For 2 people, plan on splitting one order.
Their food is reliable, featuring unusual combinations (burger with jicama slaw), which makes for some lightly adventurous dining. Ask about entrees before ordering and follow the servers advice. I've never been led astray by their waitstaff.
You have to enjoy sports to really love the Village Pub - I counted 15 televisions and could not find a seat without TV service. Beer flights and great service make this a reliable stop.
If you were a fan a Majors you'll probably like this place. Prices are competitive, food is edible, lots of TVs to watch the game on. Nothing special, but I enjoy drinking $2.50 tall boys, and playing trivia there on Tuesday nights.
The problem is with the service. It's inconsistent and sketchy at best. One week it will be good, the next week awful. More often than not it's bad. 97% sure our waitress was high as a kite the last time we were in, and not on weed.
Cheap beer, trivia, crack-head waitresses. Plus, plus, MINUS gets you a 2 rating from me.
