Turf Club

Really like this space for seeing shows.  Great mix of small but not too small.  Bar service has always been good even at busy shows.  Sound quality has been great at the shows I've been to.  Loud but leveled.  

My favorite part is the "lounge" downstairs.  I love being able to get away from the music if I want to have an actual conversation.

This is an iconic St. Paul venue and fantastic dive bar.  Great local acts and the occasional national indie rock act grace the stage.  Awesome ambiance.  The clown lounge has to be experienced to be believed.  Good beer list - has really improved under new management the last couple years - and solid prices.  Always something decent on special.  Definitely one of the great landmarks in the Twin Cities.

Absolutely love this place. The decor is great. The prices are low. The crowd is eclectic. The staff is friendly. The music can sometimes be extraordinary and sometimes terrible but it is always worth the throw of the dice. Plus if you need to get away from terrible music, you can always go downstairs and relax while playing oldies on the juke box.
