This is my new watering hole since I moved out to Corralitos. The owner is mellow, the regulars are friendly and seem to remember me. Mos def an older crowd, this is good. I hear at night it used to get a little shady but the video cameras have taken care of the gangster douchbags. The reason that this place doesn't rank as a five star dive bar in my opinion is the beer selection suh-hucks. One tap (Miller) and your standard line-up of bar beers (Heini, Shocktop, BlueMoon...) but not one local or craft beer in a bottle. The hefty tequila shots always seem to make me forget I'm sipping on a Sierra though...
Review Source:The drinks here are super strong and pretty cheap. Playing music on the jukebox is fun. Decor is basic dive-bar and a little retro. It could be a really awesome bar...but for the patrons. I've only been there twice, but both times I was not impressed with the people this bar attracts. I was with a male friend the first time and a female friend and her boyfriend the second time and both times I felt a little sketched out. It wasn't rowdy or anything, just a vibe of not feeling safe. It's not really the establishment's fault, they can't control their patrons, but I wish this place felt safer. The drinks are good, though.
