Sophisticated atmosphere with down-home charm = my favorite combination!  Dixie made us feel like we were guests in her own home, and the whole place is a treat for the eyes (and ears - nice music, very much in the background).  The wine and small plates were delicious. It is tucked around a corner -- be sure to find this hidden gem!

Put on your "nice jeans" and head to Vino Manzanita for a change of pace.  Vino Manzanita is a wonderful oasis if you're in the mood for a bit of sophistication while on vacation in Manzanita.

They have live music and a great, reasonably priced selection of fun wines. Service was friendly and prompt and the food was well prepared and fresh.

    Yum!

This little wine bar is tucked away behind a shop on Manzanita's main street. We had a lovely couple of glasses of wine from their changing selection, for a very reasonable $7 each. We didn't eat, because we couldn't get a table (the bar is pretty small, with about four tables, plus bar seating and a few tables outside, and they don't take bookings), but food, which is mainly small-plate-style, looked and smelt lovely, and seemed reasonably priced. Service was helpful and very friendly. A very good experience.

Manzanita is a beach town, but  urban sophistication is a great experience at Vino Manzanita. They generally have 3 entrees and a a dozen or so small plates. A great selection of wines with knowledgeable staff to help you with your choice. The entrees are made in house. We shared a small plate antipasti and  Lasagna. It would have been nice to have the Lasagna on separate plates, but it was OK served as it was.
    And delicious.
Last week, at a another time,  we were early for dinner, so we had small plates. He had salmon with cheese and crackers and I had pheasant and rosemary pate with jelly and bread. Both were excellent. I was surprised at the pate and ordered it because it is so different. Great taste, hint of rosemary  and the jelly added a great complement.
Vino is a small place with outside eating. The service can be slow, but this is a savoring experience and talking over the wine selection is not hurried.....as it should be, and with the entrees cooked to order, it won't be fast.

We really enjoyed stumbling upon this little place in Manzanita, Ore. We stayed just 5 miles up the road and found that where our beach was always socked in, Manzanita seemed this little patch of rare sunshine most days. A handful of artsy and chic boutiques and shops line the streets here, and this place is most definitely a jewel of a find. The proprietress was wonderful and the wines she carries - along with the small plates - are quite wonderful.  We came back two other nights to have the same wonderful and affordable Tempranillo wine, paired with Purple Haze lavender/ fennel cheese was such a treat.  It was the first sigh, and letting go, on the trip!!  Sat in the sun and savored it all for an hour, then went to a little farmers market up the road. Charming and wonderful evening!  This is DEFINITELY much better than Yummy Wine Bar in Seaside.  And the wines they carry here are a much more astute selection.
My only criticism would be that some of the servers are a bit too lackadaisical to be high-end wine servers, forget about you for too long, and don't hustle enough between tables. But when you're on vacation that is the one thing you'll probably forgive. The rest of everything is great. Nice job!

Really enjoyed the small plates. Super yummy and classy. Had the pot pie and it was good, not spectacular but very satisfying. The staff was super nice and very attentive. It was quiet and relaxing. Enjoyed very much and would highly recommend as a go!

The romantic little red and white tealights outside beckoned me to their door.

We sat down at one of their tables and ordered a little champagne, a little lavender/fennel cheese, and a little bread in a rosemary olive oil.  Delightful.

Seemed to be a little magic about as Julie, lovely bartender, noticed the moon through one of their windows. I took a picture of it with the candle flickering in the foreground.  That's just what this place evokes.  Wine poetic (wine = wax in this sentence).. intoxicating for a better word.

    Divine moment.

Great spot.  I am a local(part-time).  I really appreciate having an alternative to the San Dune Tavern for my wife and I to have a drink.  The atmosphere is very cool, clean, artistic, and modern feeling.  The staff/owner are very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the food and wine that they serve.  The prices are very fair for the quality and caliber of wine.  I try and go every time I am in town for a few days.  Seating is limited, so that would be my only negative, which is not a big deal if you time it right or are patient enough to stand a wait for a table to open up.  I always try and get there a little after 5pm.  It seems to fill up on the weekends by 6pm.

Small. Hip. Short but useful wine list. Limited food menu (really limited this trip but seems OK).  A great place to have in this cute beach town.  I really liked the people who work here...very fun, friendly and helpful.

worst service ever! on a very slow night (9/8/11), my girlfriend and i were ignored for ridiculously long time.  the young woman working there was too busy flirting with some guys to even greet, recognize or wait on us.  will never go back and unless this staff member is fired (and i encourage management to consider that) i suggest other middle-aged women avoid this place unless they just want to sit at a table and rest their feet before moving on.

Charming spot with a relaxed vibe! Super-friendly people and a really nice wine list for such a tiny bar. I selected a bottle of Andrew Rich Tabula Rasa from Washington state. Great blend of Syrah, Counoise, Grenache, and Mourvedre, which the bartender recommended. I hope to sample their small plates the next time we're in Manzanita.

I love this place! I always make sure I come here while I am in Manzanita. Their wine and food are reasonably priced, staff is very friendly and engaging. Great Lasagna, pot pie. I had a fabulous Tempranillo. It was complex, spicy, and recommended perfectly by the owner. 5 stars Vino Manzanita! Great job

Love this place! We stop in for a nice evening every time we're in town. The wine is exceptional, the service is always friendly and familiar, and the food is a nice treat to the "family oriented food" you usually find on the oregon coast.

Cute little place with great staff. Very knowledgeable.

Went in on my first night in town - they had a few decently priced glasses of both red and white and quite a bottle selection. The space was nice, if not a little snootier than I'd have wanted. I was hoping it was a little more neighborhood-y, but once it cleared out and we had a chance to talk with the staff about the local wine country, it was the highlight of our time there.

Vino is a great little wine bar.  Their selection for "by the glass" and bottles is a bit limited, but I don't think they do a huge turn over because of the size so I would expect that.  The menu is small.  They have daily specials for entrees and a nice small plate menu.  I ordered the smoked salmon plate and was surprised on the amount that was on my plate.  They have a generous hand here.

The service was slow, but they are extremely nice.  The one problem is it feels a little crammed, especially when it's busy.

Vino Manzanita is the most charming TINY wine bar I've every been too.  Fashionable, quaint and cozy are words that come to mind to describe this lovely little place.

In addition to a yummy wine list is bottled beers, small plates to nibble on and a few specials.  The night we stopped in we ordered up one of the specials, veggie lasagne with fresh bread and salads to share.  It was a small portion but very tasty and satisfying.

I look forward to returning again someday.  As with other Yelp reviewers this is a place I'll never forget.

Love this little place!  My fiance' and I frequent Manzanita, our favorite coastal town. The wine selection is awesome and the staff always remembers us, its amazing!  My fiance' loves saki and they have some really nice upscale choices.  The food has a homemade feel and the menu rotates a bit.  The outside tables are so relaxing and fun when the weather is warm.  Can't wait to go back to Manzanita and eat at Vino.

Found this place by accident.  After a very lackluster rib dinner at the San Dune Pub, my lover went back to the room with a tummy ache. I walked the streets, and stumbled into this wonderful place.  Only to be greeted by a most beautiful bartender, yeah this will work for me. This is a very stylish place in a very homey town. Great ambiance. Had a couple of glasses of some Oregon Pinot Noir. Dixie (owner) ,and Julie (bartender) were a pleasure to talk to, and gaze at.  They serve food here and not just cheese and crackers. Looks like Dixie might be something of a cook, she had chicken pot pie on the menu, one of my favorite meals. I wish, (and our tummies do too) i knew this earlier.
So if your in Manzanita this a must stop in.

Wonderful little place to while away the evening, savor something small to eat while sipping fabulous wines.  This is a perfect alternative to the beach tavern experience of beer, burgers and jojos.

They've recently added music.  I'd recommend outside seating when they have a band - it is a little too small for me in that regard.  Otherwise, I would highly recommend.

We stayed in Manzanita for vacation and saw the sign on the main road advertising this small wine bar - so glad we stopped in. The wine selection was good and what made it better was the house wine list. That selection was well priced and was good wine. The cheese plates were equally as good with the Purple Haze being amazing. The service was a little scattered because they were short a person, but other than that, it was a great experience.

You're kidding, right?  Vino tried entirely too hard to put some urbanity in a small beach town.  The atmosphere is cramped, poorly lit with candles and service is dismal.  It was a Saturday night, the place was busy and all three servers were behind the bar chatting it up.  Bottom line: just because it looks nice, doesn't mean it is.  Some things are better left in the city.

Loved it! I'm no wine connoisseur, but this was just a nice, clean place with tasty small bites, desserts and wine!

My sister came in here once and sat and read Harry Potter, there were ladies sitting and knitting, yuppies yuppying, etc.  It doesn't seem like the type of place you can sit and just and chill for as long as you like, but it is!  And, they have great outside seating!

live music and a space so small that I could sneeze on everybody all at the same time.  Not that I would, but you know.
We sat at the bar and struck up a coversation (hard not to when everybody can hear you!) with this guy.
Turns out he is the farmer who grew the greens we were going to consume.
I wished he had stayed around so we could thank him, but he took off too quickly.  Like a ghost that farmer!
great wine, great cheese, and a piece of peach and blueberry pie ala mode that was so good I fell off my stool.

Manzanita is a charming little town on the Oregon coast, about 30 minutes south from Cannon Beach. There's some great hiking around and cozy little stores to visit. However, as with many small coastal towns, the fare can get a bit, um, shall we say provincial and bland? In any case, Vino is a wonderful respite from the beach norm - an urban-style wine bar with a lovely selection of local, regional and international wines, and a small but tasty menu of nibbles.

We enjoyed a few different wines by the glass - I had a lovely malbec that wasn't on the menu and a glass of Tabula Rasa from Andrew Rich Vintner over in Carlton, OR. We snacked on a tasty caprese salad and a delicious antipasto plate with a couple of different salamis, olives, roasted almonds and a sharp cheddar. All in all, it was a lovely evening in a charming and cozy wine bar on a rainy evening at the coast.

If you've arrived in Manzanita from any city that can convincingly call itself a city, you will at some point require a respite from the very reason you went to Manzanita to begin with - the local flavor, the "out of the way-ness" of the place. In short, you will desire a tiny taste of what you left behind - something sophisticated, something worldly. You will crave a wine bar; one that's tasteful, unpretentious, that serves cheese from foreign lands.

In short, you will want Vino Manzanita.

And if you should happen to discover Vino Manzanita on the night following the night you discovered (and ate) the terrifically terrible "Mexican" food at Left Coast Siesta you will appreciate this lovely wine bar all the more.
