Arch Cape Inn may be the place for you if you:
1. Â Want complete privacy.
2. Â You love Bed & Breakfast hospitality.
3. Â You love being treated more like a house guest than a customer (this is the Inn's biggest strong point).
4. Â Enjoy having a three course breakfast made of organic and local ingredients. Â
5. Â You love Manzanita (I do) and believe it's a better beach spot than Cannon Beach.
6. Â You love wine hour and socializing. Â
7. Â Cable TV.
This place is not for you if:
1. Â You can't live without a cell phone. Â The cell phone reception isn't great and that was wonderful for me since I love to fall off the grid sometimes.
2. Â You must have garage parking and a paved parking lot.
3. Â You think a five minute drive to get to Cannon Beach would kill you.
4. Â You have to have 24/7 room service. Â The Innkeeper wraps up in the later evening but you can contact the Innkeeper at anytime via phone (number's provided during your stay).
5. Â Want/Have to bring your kids.
6. Â You want to bring your dog but your dog barks all the time.
7. Â It would kill you to drive less than five minutes at 35 mph to get to a beach.
Why is Arch Cape Inn outstanding:
1. Â Across the board, the staff is exceptionally gracious in how you get treated like a guest but in a very subtle and regal fashion.
2. Â I wanted to surprise my girlfriend with flowers and berries already in the room. Â Thinking that this would be an inconvenience to the staff here, I was very welcomed with a willingness to help me out. Â Also, Cynthia (I think she's an owner of this facility) recommended some local florists and even offered to pick up roses at a store and have them set in the room before we arrived. Â WOW.
3. Â Bonnie and her team was very sociable and helpful. Â The experience overall was memorable. Â
4. Â We were running very behind leaving Seattle due to two huge accidents along I-5 in Tacoma and the Innkeeper called to see if we were okay. Â
My wish list:
1. Â Bring back dinner because if the breakfast is a 10/10, what more of dinner?
2. Â Towels lint easily (but the Inn informed us of the County's water restriction).
Overall:
This is my home away from home even though my home feels less at home than this place. Â Honestly, I am considering buying property out there now...
Arch Cape Inn & Retreat is a treasure!
From the gorgeous inside to the lovingly-cared for landscape, from the attentive service to the feeling that this is our romantic getaway, Arch Cape Inn offers a retreat from the rest of your life. On a honeymoon? Need another one? I can't recommend it highly enough. That, and the 4-course meal at breakfast overlooking the fireplace, the ocean, or the gardens, is sure to win your heart and your belly! I loved the chocolate dessert: chocolate dessert (!!!) at breakfast. Everything was made-to-order, and especially for any eating preferences (e.g. we don't eat red meat or pork, so Cynthia, the innkeeper had our breakfast made vegetarian style, which was lovely). They offer a wine and appetizer hour, which is lovely, and Sleepy Monk coffee all the time, which is delicious!!!
We stayed in the Gauguin room which offered a slight view of the water, a gas fireplace, tv, refrigerator, and a hot tub: perfect for the atmospherically grey skies and chilly day and night we stayed. The one downside was that the bathroom didn't have a door. Cynthia offered us a choice of a bottle of red or white wine, explaining that the towels weren't very soft: so thoughtful!
We had a fabulous time at Arch Cape Inn and will definitely return!
We just got back from a FANTASTIC 4 days at the Arch Cape Inn for our 15th anniversary. My wife and I run a business together so trying to book anything without her knowing is a challenge. From the first contact with Cynthia, she could not have done more to help. She suggested special touches to make the time we were there so memorable. There were beautiful roses for us on arrival with colors chosen for us and a wonderful card welcoming us. The Champagne and cheese was perfect, and the owners suite is just amazing. Clean, beautifully appointed, comfy towels and sheets and a nice view of the ocean. The wine socials are a great touch and the breakfasts.......... All I can say is amazing. Cynthia has the ability to make you feel so comfortable and has a great set of folks to back her up. Bonnie was great at communicating to me before we arrived and Eric and Amy were informative and caring. Thanks to all of them, my 15th anniversary surprise to my wife was PERFECT.
