We love to go on weekdays in the summer when there are not a lot of folks there. During the off-season it's not hard to get a spot at the bar anytime. The only downside in the off-season is that they cut all of our favorites off the menu, but it's understandable especially when almost everything else in town is closed. The Grilled Chicken Caesar IS still on the menu and it's awesome!!! For their regular menu, just order a bunch of apps (they are amazing, trust me) with your drinks instead of going all-out. The app portions are hearty. Their entrees are pricey, although the salmon burger is really good.
Our favorites:
-SFC Bites (homemade honey drizzled chicken nuggets served with awesome BBQ sauce, bacon-y coleslaw, and basil watermelon balls)
-Tempura Asparagus and Green Beans with aioli
-Pulled Pork Nachos
-Caesar Salad
-Mixed Field Greens salad with beets, pickled onions, radish, and goat cheese.
Dan is a great bartender and nice to chat with. They should hire some better bartenders to work on his days off.
All in all, we highly recommend this spot! They treat locals really well which is nice.
Burgers: really meh for $18
Turkey sandwich: worst turkey sandwich my friend had ever had
Pizza: friend from New York said crust wasn't right, hardly any mushrooms on mushroom pizza and too much sauce for New Yorkers. Â (I personally thought sauce amount was ok)
Service: spotty
Really wish we had gone back to Venga Venga a second night instead of coming here.
Nothing about this seemed exceptional or locally sourced. Mayonnaise and mustard were from Heinz and not made in house.
