New Belgium Ranger Station

What could be more perfect than having an epic ski day on the mountain and literally ski into a bar?  

It's done.  

South of the Florida Georgia line we don't get New Belgium beers so it always feels special to get it out West.  I was happy to order it in the countless bars around town but at the Ranger Station, you get to try flights of brews I've never seen anywhere else.  Color me exclusive, I was feeling downright VIP.  

They also have food but honestly, I was there for the beer.  My cousin got the grilled cheese and it looked really good and the pretzels were amazing but the beer.  Oh Lord, the beer.

It didn't feel too touristy (says the tourist) but I doubt many locals head to the area.  Many of other patrons there the nights we went seemed to know the bartender.  I could have spend every evening watching the snow fall and skiers coming down the mountain from this little bar, it was absolutely perfect.

I visited this place in July and I would imagine it's even better during the ski season. They have a wide variety of New Belgium brews, along with different seasonal offerings. My wife and I ordered the bison chili nachos and they came out fast and in a large portion. We were both full afterwards. Great beers, good food, and right by the lift! Awesome.

Not what I expected. The beer was over priced, and the food was only so so. Wish it were still Goodfellows Pizza.
