Waffle House

you are
really hungry.

The main advantage of a Waffle House is that they are open 24 hours day or night.  That means when you are going through the town of Crapville in the middle of the night and decide you need some food or coffee you can usually find a Waffle House right off the highway, Convenient, quick and safe.  Well, at least kind of safe.

Most have huge signs and bright lights so you can see them from a thousand miles away and they always have a decent menu.  This particular place was very friendly and the waitresses seem to enjoy talking to the two fools who drove all night from RI

Of curse at 4am in the morning  there isn't a whole lot else to do.  A couple of very intoxicated fellows came in, loud and stinky but the waitresses handled them well.  Obviously they had a lot of experience with such things and knew what to do.

The place wasn't exactly clean but then it was 4am in the morning and people were coming in with muddy boots, foul smells and less than clean clothes.

The food wasn't great but then at 4am in the morning in what is basically the middle of nowhere you can't exactly be picky.  Wasn't great but it did the trick.
