Walkertown Seafood Shack

As always, food was great. Waitress was on the ball. Friday night it was busy but for great seafood, that is to be expected.

Food was delicious and portions ginormous.  Drive thru window was so easy .Don't skip dessert- cake slices as big as phone books.  LOVE the broiled platter

Just added a star after our lunch visit today - this place offers the highest combination of quality, value, ambiance, and service of any Southern fried seafood restaurant in this part of the state.

The Popcorn Shrimp are fried perfectly, with a great, fresh taste. The fried Trout Filet was excellent as well, and nicely sized - lunch combo was $7.75, which included super hushpuppies, decent FF, and very good cole slaw.

The Oyster Stew was a large bowl of rich, buttery broth with a decent number of oysters - nice at $4.95. They make their own Blue Cheese and Ranch salad dressings, and both are very nice - bought some of both to take home.

The service was quick, efficient, and friendly - you also can tell these folks like each other. Ambiance is nice - bright, clean, homey place, loaded with interesting wall decorations. This place is among the best at what they do.
