I definitely have a different opinion of Big Mussels than the reviewers before me mostly because of two huge factors:
1) Â I bought a Living Social deal that was $30 worth of food for $15.
2) Â There are never any other people in the restaurant besides my wife and I when I have come the past two times, making the customer service and speed quite nice.
As far as the food goes, I really enjoyed my food. Â I've tried their crab cakes, their salmon, their clam chowder, and their baked flounder, and really enjoyed all of them. Â The flounder could have been bigger (and one bite had about a dozen little bones) but overall I enjoyed my meals very much. Â I'd say if I had to choose the best dish, I'd choose the salmon.
I don't think I'd be nearly as happy without the coupon and the attentive service but my two times here have been wonderful.
There is nothing live an overprice frozen salmon from a bag drench in an overly sweet sauce that was suppose to be a honey glaze. Â I'm still waiting on the napkins that was request for not once, not twice, but three times. The only plus was I got to enjoy watching the owner and his family enjoy a nice meal with great customer service. This location has made my "do not enter" list!
